@RobertT84256698 @kevswt1 @HighwaysSWEST @Glos_Police Traffic was shielded from the incident, to let people past so they weren’t stuck, also it takes time to get the correct people where they need to be, and yes the investigations start immediately. So pipe down

@CopOfTheNorth Quite a few of our managers use it. Keeps them off the higher tax bracket and much cheaper than personal lease

Well it’s nowhere near fully charged but just started on the button with no hesitation as I became impatient. Showing up a few faults, although I got rid of the classic 4x4 system one with the ol’ full lock to full lock trick I remember from our old E53 X5 😉 Provided you can’t fool these systems the guy selling it said he had it serviced in the last few months, which the car is also agreeing with 🔧🤔 Comfort heated seats, blowers, iDrive, electric folding mirrors, electric steering wheel and even the pan roof are all fully working still so that’s a touch 😆

The past two days I’ve actively been looking for a new car to pick up this weekend. I’ve enquired about 3x X350/358 Jaguar XJ’s. None of which were as described in the adverts once I began talking to the sellers. Proper jobs that needed doing being left out. Two Jaguar X-Types, one seller looked at my message and ignored me the other wasn’t willing to do a deal at all despite the car being way overpriced. Was a nice 3.0 AWD Estate though. A W211 Mercedes E280 that went nowhere. Two P2 Volvo XC90’s, one the seller ignored two of my messages despite me offering him full price 🤷‍♂️ and the other I tried to do a deal be he was convinced he’ll get his asking price by this time next week so wished him the best of luck. So naturally I’ve bought another high spec, older BMW, subject to my 4hr train journey down to get it tomorrow that is 🚆 Bus replacement is on from Peterborough to Kings X though so no first class for me with LNER unfortunately 🎻

@lee_outram @WiltsSpecOps Of course not, but their primary role is roads. In the same way a dog handlers primary role is where a dog is required 👍 same as a heart doctor specialises in hearts rather than colds

@lee_outram @WiltsSpecOps Your hat being across your eyes means you’ve missed the ‘roads’ policing bit. Perhaps some of your own advice……

@mastesallan @cleanupbritain @NationalHways @NatashaLeake So what you’re saying is they’re parking up on the network so they can respond in the fastest, safest manor, doing extra work in a car instead of being sat in an office?! I agree, pay rises and medals all round!! How about you arrange a ride out and see what they actually do?

It's a scandal that there are tens of thousands of metal frames, signs, cones and sandbags needlessly discarded by @NationalHways and their unaccountable contractors. Tens of millions of pounds being left, abandoned, by the side of the road... @NatashaLeake

Last press car of the year is a big Skoda. But not ANY big Skoda. Points awarded if you know why it’s special (none awarded if you’re one of the people who’ve put some of the 21k miles on it tho…).

@DJSnudge @2SevernBridges It’s continuous bullshit from them, they just close the bridge cause they’re too fucking lazy to do their job properly! They’ll close it around 20knts, they find it’s easier to cause major traffic delays for everyone and blame it on safety. Same like the off and on bullshit!

@ListerLawrence Ah arse. If it’s just the casing cracked and the core is good (bore scope will needed to check the core) no reason you couldn’t weld it up. Main dealers won’t entertain it but any decent welder can give you a factory finish and get you back on the road for much less and faster

@chris610_4 @HighwaysSWEST It’s basic management 101. Hazardous waste, major infrastructure interference is all modelled and pre planned for training. 30miles, 3hrs 40minutes and average 8mph is a failure. If only RnR transport were liable for the cost to the local economy. This event failed basic RAMS

@chris610_4 @HighwaysSWEST No it’s not competence. Crisis management and hazardous waste logistics is pre planned. It’s a failure to shut down the entire network. This vital piece Of infrastructure needs adequate resources and competence. Just divert 2 lanes on m5 southbound.
