@__Con_ @starks_arq People will & always will care about the director lol. You can give the same concept, script & cameras to Tarantino & Christopher Nolan and both their films would feel entirely different. Director is the only component that matters

I don't think they'll care about the director at all. They will care about how they feel viewing the films/ads, whatever. And those feelings will be from a director/person expressing their values in a story. That's the key. The best films will be made by people who simply communicate what they are feeling. When everyone has quality in production, personal values, and the emotion that stems from it, is the thing that stands out. *note, people can, and often do, use metaphors instead of their actual stories to evoke this emotion.

@AustinGeorgas Man I completely disagree that content is a moat. It can be copied pretty easily

You need content that is worth clipping first Good company content will still be the only untapped moat by ai most companies think they can get by with posting new announcement videos to twitter with cool edits/effects Invest in your content team asap. Build a real audience
GREG ISENBERG@gregisenberg

We'll soon see the rise of the "Chief Clipping Officers" at companies The person who figures out the 47 second moment inside the 2 hour podcast that gets 10M views Probably will be the highest paid marketing hire of 2027

@MovieTalkNOW1 @MarioJoos @TeamYouTube ran into these problems with client channels, extremely frustrating. Everything needs to be ran by a real human, the A.I system is insanely broken.

How to build a YouTube team (3 stages, 20+ roles) If you want to build a full YouTube team, you’ll have to hire more than just an editor. However, knowing where to start can be very difficult. That’s why it’s recommended to think about hiring in 3 stages. Let’s take a look at those three stages, and maybe this post may give some inspiration on who you can hire next. Stage 1: Building a foundation Before we start to make things complex, you’re first looking to hire individuals that are there to just get you out of the weeds. These are people that do tasks that may touch on your creative output, but are mostly focused on trying to win you time. Here are the foundational hires you typically go for: - Editor: this person will be responsible for your edit all the way from start to finish, from cutting up the footage to adding polishing visuals. Most of the time, they become your first hire because of how much time they save you. - Thumbnail Designer: the second hire is typically a thumbnail designer. They’re thinking about the composition of your thumbnail, make sure your channel looks consistent, and focus on optimizing for that click. Those are your first hires, but in this stage, I’d actually add a few more hires that could drastically improve your output. - Producer: a producer is a problem solver who focuses on anything that your production could need. You need to find a great location for a certain scene? That’s the producer’s role. You need to run to the store and figure out how to fit props within your budget? Same thing. Producers are vastly underrated in how much an extra hand can do. - Scriptwriter / Researcher: hiring a scriptwriter is great, however, it’s also dangerous. Many scriptwriters don’t fully understand your vision or may write in their own voice instead of yours. So either get precise in guiding the scriptwriter to create content like you, or hire a researcher that presents you with information for your next video so you can stay in control of the actual video. - Accountant (external at first, later in-house if you grow): this may seem straightforward, but I’ve run into too many situations where a creator suddenly tells me about an unexpected tax bill, or they’re not properly writing off their expenses. Get yourself an accountant. You’re running an operation here. - Channel Manager: managing such a small team can often be overwhelming, especially if you’re someone who started creating content as a passion project. Channel managers are here to help with all of the small stuff such as uploading your content, checking if everything is okay with the channel, running your A/B tests, and so much more. Now, they often get involved in managing people as well, but this depends on the creator. Stage 2: Growth stage Eventually, what your small team can do hits a ceiling. That’s when things start feeling tiresome and you realize you can’t push further without adding more people. Growth is all about spreading the workload, helping take pressure off your own team, and even adding some expertise into the mix. I won’t go as in-depth with these for this article (it would get long), but it should give you some idea. Here are the growth hires you typically go for: - 2nd Editor - Assistant Editor - VFX Editor (expensive, but sometimes needed) - Idea Researcher - Social Media Manager (repurpose content) - Personal / Executive Assistant - Creative Director - Strategist - Casting Director - Camera Operator - B-roll Shooter - Lawyer (external, but often needed since you’re starting to deal with more and more contracts) Stage 3: Quality, monetization, expansion Now you’re past the point of just cranking out videos. The focus shifts to making sure quality never drops. You’re also looking to earn beyond ad revenue and brand deals. Maybe that’s through side channels, localization, dubbing, or repurposing your content on other platforms. Note that you could already hire some of these people in the second stage if you want to. Stage 3 hires are: - Audio Engineer - Community Manager - Post-Production Supervisor - Localization Lead (managing dubbing) - Retention Director (frameio , analytics) - Brand Manager The order you hire in depends on your goals and where you’re at, but the reason you scale is always the same: you or your team don’t have enough time, and if you don’t solve that, you’ll be bottlenecked.

@MarioJoos Stage 4: Pray you don't get demonetized despite following every single policy religiously. If you support creators, TAG YOUTUBE on my appeal. I am the first talking head channel to get taken down due to AI moderation. That means I won't be the last. x.com/MovieTalkNOW1/…
David Perez - Movie Talk NOW@MovieTalkNOW1

TEAM YOUTUBE - My video appeal was NEVER watched, resulting in AI denying my appeal. I want to emphasize this --- My 5 minute video appeal (as seen in this video) has a watch time of 15 seconds. No human watched my video where I EXTENSIVELY explain my process for every single video I make. Every single video takes hours for me to make. Why? Because I think if ideas. I write ORIGINAL scripts every single time. I do EXTENSIVE research and verify every claim. I MANUALLY edit it together. I MANUALLY make the thumbnails and I alone package the videos. I need a HUMAN review for my channel. --- A little about me: My name. is David Perez, the son of immigrants here in the US. I love video editing, marketing and it's what I do for a living! This channel overlaps with literally my living and is a big aspect of what I do. It's why I followed channels like YouTube liason and are part of countless newsletters so I can RESPECT and FOLLOW Youtube's policy. I have never broken a single rule. This is why I need a HUMAN review for my channel. Thank you. --- ATTENTION: @TeamYouTube @UpdatesFromYT @YouTubeInsider @YouTube @YouTubeCreators

Shutting down my agency today. In 3 years I've worked with dozens of awesome clients. Generated $12m revenue. 20,000+ videos. Billion+ views. Crushing it to the very end. Got picked up by one of my clients and moved to Nashville to run their businesses. Stoked for what's next.

@sawyercovington it's an awesome video, hope it didn't sound like a direct shot. I've seen many similar. But the right audio mixing genuinely makes it that much better & immersive
