Yes Chy, "that indicates" but it doesn't specify by what means it indicates. Your license "indicates" you need corrective lenses and the 5 states indicate the ID is valid as substitute for a passport card. My license "indicates" that I am current on my requirements under 49 USC 31305 but you won't see it on my physical license because you need authorization to access that information in my licensing record. My license "indicates" that I am also current with the requirements of 49 CFR 38.121 and I absolutely do need to be a citizen for that. But it's not on the physical card. The indicators don't need to be printed on the card, and some things aren't for privacy reasons. Corrective lenses don't qualify. Other indicators are only accessible by the clerks, or the TSA, or the Highway Patrol. I'm done explaining this to you. Go have this conversation with your own elections clerk. Have a good life. Under the SAVE Act, you cannot use your driver's license to register to vote. Republicans want you to buy a passport instead. If you can afford one. This is a modern-day poll tax.

I'm getting bored with this crap. Read the law. Yes, even in states that give licenses to non-citizens. The indicators aren't on the physical license, they are in the private data held at the licensing division. Your clerk has access to that, it's not printed on your license. Maybe if you had a federal license like I do, you would better understand that most indicators attached to your license aren't printed on the license, they are in your driver license file and record. What are you reading exactly? The bill reads as follows: Documentary proof of United States citizenship.— As used in this Act, the term ‘documentary proof of United States citizenship’ means, with respect to an applicant for voter registration, any of the following: “(1) A form of identification issued consistent with the requirements of the REAL ID Act of 2005 that indicates the applicant is a citizen of the United States. So... A form of identification ... REAL ID ... that indicates the applicant is a citizen is is documentary proof of citizenship with respect to an applicant for voter registration. If you were issued an Ohio REAL ID and you provided your birth certificate when it was issued, that birth certificate is part of the ID and your clerk will have it when they accept your application to vote and give you a ballot.

5 states issue Enhanced ID, not to be confused with a regular REAL ID. The flag in the upper right hand corner indicates that it's suitable as a substitute for a passport card, valid for border and ocean crossings with Canada, Mexico, and some Caribbean states. ALL states issue REAL ID and ALL states scan and record the birth certificates or passports or whatever as an integral part of the driver license record and file. If your REAL ID file record contains the proofs of citizenship, your REAL ID indicates whether or not your are a citizen. That information IS integrated with your driver license record. It's integral with your record. There's a lot of misinformation, people assuming that the Enhanced ID is the only "Real ID" issued by states that indicates citizenship. It's not. There is a LOT of licensing and identity information in the backend of your license record and not all of it is distinguishable by looking at your physical ID. Any commercial vehicle license holder can tell you this, and your elections clerk can explain it to you just as well. Your clerk has access to the backend records of your driver license and they do know if it indicates citizenship or not. The Act doesn't require an Enhanced ID, otherwise it would have named the Enhanced ID. It allows a REAL ID that's why the Act refers to the REAL ID not the Enhanced ID. A REAL ID that indicates citizenship (a field indicator in the database is enough) is valid for voter registration.

No, that's not true. Your driver's license can be used to register as a federal voter under the SAVE Act. Read the legislation: "A form of identification issued consistent with the requirements of the REAL ID Act of 2005 that indicates the applicant is a citizen of the United States." If your driver's license is a REAL ID and it absolutely will indicate your citizenship if the supporting documents you submitted to the licensing division prove citizenship. Your clerk has access to the complete document backend record of your license just as the highway patrolman does. Don't spread false information, Democrats who do are just as annoying as Republicans who do the same thing.

And to everyone saying, “There’s no way they still air this season…” We live in a country where Donald Trump… found liable for sexual assault and convicted on 34 felony counts… can get re-elected… And the people connected to Jeffrey Epstein face no consequences, while staying in control of everything. So honestly… I wouldn’t be surprised if this season airs. And in a few years… Taylor Frankie Paul is running for office.
