Question...do these kids get any of the YouTube (social media) revenue these adults are using them for? If the adults are going to encourage this behavior, perhaps the kids (or the kids parents) should get a cut? Probably not.

Here we go again. Another over the top celebration at 12u. If you think this is good for baseball, you are the problem. Bat almost hits him in the face after the spike, then all the "look at me" antics, and you gotta love the cameraman on the field running with the kid. What a joke. It's all a show...🤦🏼‍♂️

@cincy2357 Cool story, Coach. Here’s one of the identical quad fields in Houston’s main PG venue where kids up to 12U play. This is the norm.

I have far less an issue with him celebrating than I do with a 12U team playing on what looks like 60ft bases and probably 180-200 foot fences. A REAL 12U team...one that plays in TX...hasn't played on a 45/60/200 field since they were like 8 Start lifting, bro

@RawseDubya @rjchoppy I am happy for your experiences. Every PG tournament I have ever coached in has been a minimum of 250 from 11u up. USSSA is 200 in most places 225 in others.

@cincy2357 @rjchoppy You do not really have “Little League Coach” and “Travel Ball Coach” in your bio… lol. Come on buddy. I’ve been to 10+ years of USSSA, PG, and Five Tool tournaments, across the country… including Hawaii where we played a 12U tournament… ON A 200’ FIELD.

@rjchoppy That isn’t true. 11U-12U is 50’/70’ 13U is 54’/80’ or 60’/90’ for Majors Almost all 12U fields are 200’ fences. I agree however hitting a HR in 12U (with a -5) on a 200’ field isn’t worthy of 10% of this celebration though - they’re routine for 12U.

Just so people are aware. There are now and have been travel teams being made in order to produce content for YouTube, TikTok, and IG. The issue is exacerbated bc of this. Kids want to go viral. The problem isn’t 1 groups fault. This is what you get when money and fame rule

@louloularue2 These kids are the best of the best players first before they get to a PU team. Goldin, SBA, ZT, etc. Already the best of the best. They work like crazy in the background and make noise when on a team like this. What 12yr old is going to turn down thousands of dollars in gear?

This isn’t okay. This is Pottstown. Are their videos entertaining? Yes…but let’s be real. They probably aren’t focused on being future hall of fame baseball players. They are future YouTube/content creators. Especially with antics like these. My kid talks about these kids and my response to him is remember your goal. Remember your intentions and then emulate those that have reached the level that you want to achieve. So yeah…if your goal in life is to be a star on instagram or YouTube, these are the kids for you. But if your goal is to play real baseball for a long time, find someone else to look up to ❤️⚾️✨ Oh and parents…..if your kid is doing this and you are proud….be better parents. I said what I said 🤷🏼‍♀️

Okay, someone tell me why this is okay? What’s the benefit to this? Then on the other hand tell me why we shouldn’t allow this? Let’s hear both sides….

I played for LEGENDARY hall of fame baseball coaches at both the HS and American Legion level. There is an absolutely ZERO percent chance you are still on the team. Let along getting a dap up as you round third. Coaching matters. Kids will test the limits of what you allow.
Danny Kanell@dannykanell

The coaches and parents who allow this to go on are the problem. Instead of teaching kids how to play the game the right way and show respect for the opponent they’re worried about getting viral attention. Embarrassing.

Wow this is great! Whomever is running this club is a joke. Keep teaching kids how to disrespect the game, their opponent and everyone else including themselves…! Congrats you’re doing a great job teaching all the wrong things.

HERE IT IS #shegone nation!!! The FlickIt bat sells for $185 and will help you learn to DUMP THE BARREL and ruin your future! “The FlickIt is a high quality wood bat that features an auditory ‘swoosh’ of beads that will sound instantly when the barrel is launched rearward properly. Hearing the beads ‘swoosh’ instantly assures the hands torqued the handle properly at launch. It’s made of high quality wood and is designed to be used with baseballs and softballs pitched at all speeds. The teach is to aggressively, all in, create the instant rearward centrifugal force that creates the instant ‘swoosh’.  The application of force by the rearward and downward tilt of the torso combined with the simultaneous rearward snap of the barrel by the hands produces that ‘swoosh’. Done from a properly coiled/stretched rear leg, the rear leg will then snap the barrel forward.” @Teacherman1986 @Yankees @notgaetti @BobFile @twuench @billdubs @iamrags @SliderDominate @slider_sinker @low_and_outside @WesClements22 @roxbaseball26 @BLocsports @hittingguru7 @TheRealJHair @DMEASrecruiting @mikepiazza31 @ToddPratt07 @GreggOlson30 @VandyonTigers @SalMarinello @AMBS_Kernan

How is this celebrated?!? What the hell is wrong with people?! Where are the coaches? Umpires? What parent in the right mind wouldn’t drag their son off the field if he did that? Pathetic!!
