@Jacobtheclipper KAT right there…telling me they can’t get him the ball at the elbow and get a quality shot…? Or is KAT not that good? If not, then we can stop the all time discussions cuz he’s not even the best center in franchise history

This is why its so HARD and almost impossible to win a title with your best player being 6’2” or smaller When push comes to shove you need to be able to create and shoot over the defense. Brunson can’t get a clean look, game over League of giants 🤷🏻‍♂️

@JPR_25 @CoachIsaacSan21 Laker breaker. 2 on 1, 3 on 2, 4 on 3, 5 on 4. Continuous transition offense, add 2 on offense every time you change possession. Kids love it, great for fast break development and decision making

I had two different high school coaches in basketball and I had two different coaches in college football. And I’m here to tell you coaches matter. When people ask about choosing high schools I always say go watch and learn about the coach. Coaches aren’t equal.

@TerryBattenberg I let em stay out there for about 30s so they don’t get in their head if they’re foul prone or I’ll keep em out there longer if they’re just unlucky on a given night. If I had to really adjust we’d move em to a different match up to guard an off ball player.

@coachcarsonc That's good stuff, but how do you handle situations where players get 2 early fouls or 3/4 in second half?

Keeping players out of foul trouble is one of the tougher problems a coach faces. The Basic Rule is to avoid a 3rd personal foul in the 1st half, & a 4th in the third quarter so that the player has 3 or less fouls going into the 4th quarter. What are some strategies you use?

@TerryBattenberg we spend a lot of time in practice focusing on defending without fouling. I call it extra tight in practice so they really get the point. We also only swipe on gathers and the catch. We work on walling up, and a lot of off season conditioning on staying in front of a human.

@coachcarsonc Hopefully they get the idea. I had some that didn’t. Like football/basketball Big Men who just played so aggressively that they got into foul trouble, but their hard work was so needed.
