His last known effort was after the military operation on northern Gaza, following an 84-day siege during which they endured the harshest trials, hunger, oppression, bombardment, and threats. Despite all of this, he continued to work for the sake of the patients. He even lost his beloved son, our son Ibrahim, and he himself sustained a severe injury. To this day, our father is still affected by that injury. We do not know the fate of our father. We urge you to act, to apply media pressure, and to amplify calls for action through reports and advocacy to pressure the occupation forces to release him as soon as possible. Currently, our father is suffering from the severe cold, and many of you have heard from eyewitnesses who were released about how he was forced to remove his clothes, including his medical coat, and was used as a human shield. I spent a lot staring at the photo. A doctor facing Israeli tanks and walking towards them unarmed. This bravery is bigger than the whole world's spine. Demand justice and freedom for Dr Hussam Abu-Safyya. He is the world's hero.
