codex got noticeably nerfed past few days. ran several tasks for 20+ hours, none finished. switched to claude code, done in 30 min. something's off @thsottiaux

Took some time off after leaving Magic Eden. Now I’m back building something new and feel like I got that dawg back in me. Also back home in BKK so time to lock in

Codex can do incredible things on demand, but it cannot experience life for you. Don’t forget to get out there and remember who you’re building for.

Honestly I'm still really impressed with the Codex app. It works reliably. It adds useful features consistently. It has taste. The mobile integration is awesome. The git integration is solid. If you haven't used it yet, I highly recommend it.

Minh, no one owns the @minh username on Telegram yet. It’s still controlled by Telegram on Fragment and hasn’t been minted by a buyer yet. You can’t just open Telegram and set a four-letter username like a normal username. All four-letter usernames must be bought/minted from Telegram on Fragment before it can be set as a username on any Telegram account. So you have to get it there first. Basically, you place a bid, start the auction, and if you win ( which most likely, you will), it becomes an NFT username you can attach to your Telegram account, channel, or group. It’s your name/brand, so not sure anyone will want to fight with you in an auction for it. That’s how I got mine back in 2024 for ~$39K when $TON was almost $8 💀 Was worried someone will mint it and resell it to me later (at 2x or even 10x the price), which is why I minted it ASAP when I noticed I was getting a bit popular in the Telegram/TON ecosystem 🤣
damx.ton@0xdamx

spent 5,050 $TON ~$38,600 to mint the @damx username on Telegram back in July 2024. that’s the base cost to mint a 4 letter username. now those same 5,050 TON are worth about $8,500 rn 👀 maybe i should have waited for TON to be cheaper before minting 🤔

The Google Threat Intelligence Group has detected the first known instance of a threat actor using an AI-developed zero-day exploit in the wild. While the attackers planned a wide-scale strike, our proactive counter-discovery may have prevented that from happening. This finding is part of our new report on AI-powered threats.

honestly i posted the tsmc thing and now my comments are littered with butthurt cope americans who can't handle the idea that an asian country might work harder and be better than them at something. it's so fucking annoying to read because they're ignorant to the fact that yes there are obviously hardworking americans but american corporate work culture is actually despised worldwide. i worked in hong kong for 5 years for an american hotel chain and without fail, there was always some suburbanite who scheduled calls for their friday morning (my friday night) and spent the first 10 min talking about the weather and then another ten minutes on other stupid small talk before subjugating the asia team to their shitty, ill conceived ideas that would then have to be implemented globally. there is a distinct american hubris of believing your work and your time is simply more important than other people's time. some americans believe they are better at working than other people by virtue of being an american. these assumptions are so arrogant i can't stand for them. i've just had a wonderful day in singapore surrounded by smart and capable people and then i have to go online and see these fucking incels on x anyway send them all to zero with haste.

a cab driver in taipei told me that taiwanese tmsc workers universally dread going to america for business trips. he said that americans leave for happy hour while taiwanese people have to stay behind to finish their work. this makes them feel really uncomfortable and unhappy, like they’re second class citizens despite the fact that they come from HQ. sad and upsetting to hear, although unsurprising. i asked him if those workers ever believe tsmc america will surpass tsmc taiwan. taiwanese consensus is that americans simply lack the work ethic and attention to detail to ever close the gap.
