@atrocityTCG 38 damage for 3 energy over 4 turns is not some amazing card. But yes I will admit I forgot about Hotfix for it. With that it's significantly better

Glass Orbs in Slay the Spire 2 are pretty undercooked. There are only 3 cards for them, and while Glasswork + Spinner are solid, Refract is quite mediocre. They should add like 1-2 more glass orb cards and make Refract cheaper or something idk.

A tiny majority means every resignation creates a special election that could flip the seat. Johnson is not avoiding principle. He is doing math. Massie calling for resignations he knows will not happen is costless courage. Leading with a one-seat margin is an entirely different kind of pressure.

Thomas Massie is the first male GOP Rep in the House to call for Tony Gonzales to resign. He joins Nancy Mace, Lauren Boebert, and Anna Paulina Luna. He asks: "Where are the other men in the GOP?" Mike Johnson - who identifies as a male - has called the Gonzales situation "serious" but declined to call for his resignation due to a tiny House majority and a tiny, almost non-existent penchant for doing the right thing.

@ryangrim 1. if her position *is* strategic ambiguity, then she should have said that. 2. if the default American position on Taiwan is incoherent babble, and she simply meant to repeat it, it's not exactly a good thing that she's simply maintaining that status quo.

I had different problems with AOC’s Munich talks but the Taiwan criticism is kind of silly, because she’s being knocked for babbling incoherently about what the U.S. response should be, when babbling incoherently is quite specifically the actual policy of the U.S. Except we call it “strategic ambiguity.”
Marco Foster@MarcoFoster_

AOC: “If you think I don’t understand foreign policy because out of hours of discourse about international affairs I pause to think about one of the most sensitive geopolitical issues that currently exist on Earth, I’m afraid the issue’s not my understanding but rather the problem is perhaps you’ve gotten adjusted to a president that never thinks before he speaks and doesn’t care about the implications of his words before he speaks on matters like these”

@Rakionrql @stet_dot_net @James_West_PhD Importers pay tariffs which will affect how much they take in from other countries and how profitable it is for those countries to export. It would be logistically challenging for a country to volunteer to pay and step into the middle of that.

Gorsuch is a G*d-d*mned genius: "For those who think it important for the Nation to impose more tariffs, I understand that today’s decision will be disappointing. All I can offer them is that most major decisions affecting the rights and responsibilities of the American people (including the duty to pay taxes and tariffs) are funneled through the legislative process for a reason. Yes, legislating can be hard and take time. And, yes, it can be tempting to bypass Congress when some pressing problem arises. But the deliberative nature of the legislative process was the whole point of its design. Through that process, the Nation can tap the combined wisdom of the people’s elected representatives, not just that of one faction or man. There, deliberation tempers impulse, and compromise hammers disagreements into workable solutions. And because laws must earn such broad support to survive the legislative process, they tend to endure, allowing ordinary people to plan their lives in ways they cannot when the rules shift from day to day. In all, the legislative process helps ensure each of us has a stake in the laws that govern us and in the Nation’s future. For some today, the weight of those virtues is apparent. For others, it may not seem so obvious. But if history is any guide, the tables will turn and the day will come when those disappointed by today’s result will appreciate the legislative process for the bulwark of liberty it is."

@Suzierizzo1 HCSO does not have a policy against our deputies wearing masks. Deputies must have visible identification, which is the case here. Because the individual our deputy stopped did not have identification, the deputy took a picture of the person to use as ID. (cont'd)

Although the incident was hilarious, let’s talk sense for a moment. Szoboszlai cannot have any complaints. If Haaland hadn’t pulled Szoboszlai back, Szoboszlai would have reached the ball and cleared it. That would have meant an easy red since he had fouled Haaland already. The whole discussion about VAR is happening because Haaland also fouled Szoboszlai back. Had Haaland stopped back after Szoboszlai pulled him, nobody would be complaining about the red card.
City Xtra@City_Xtra

Pep Guardiola on Dominik Szoboszlai's red card and Rayan Cherki's disallowed goal: "Common sense, no? We won the game, and now Szoboszlai cannot play - I know he pulled him [Erling Haaland]. But... "How many pulls there are in a game that referees say, 'Play on, play on, play on', in this country, this league. Always it's been like that. So give a goal, 1-3, Szoboszlai can play, and we are happy..."
