@jadel4w Damn, Frieza has the sartorius to scissorkick planets!!
Cool sticker :)
English

@awintory This is so unfortunate. His work is a staple of pooular culture for half a century!
English

I've been hearing about Drew's declining condition and it's so heartbreaking. He's such an icon.
Del@TheCartelDel
Just learned that Drew Struzan can no longer paint anymore, as his Alzheimer's has progressed. What an incredible legacy that captured every generation...
English

@_Robbie_Rich @monsterhunter Tell me you don't know what "optimizing" means in gaming without telling me
English

@monsterhunter Can you upgrade the DLSS4 to the new ones so the game stutters less
Start optimizing the game better, thanks!
It’s like software crap to slow down your video card
The streamers are better at optimizing the game than the developers
English

Hunters, thank you so much for 8 million copies sold for Monster Hunter Wilds in just three days since launch.
This is just the start for the next generation of Monster Hunter, and we look forward to taking the next steps with you, including Event Quests, Title Update 1 in early April and more.
The Guild authorises this celebration!

English

@ATGcast That's technically copyright infringement in the U.S. by the way.
And he is posting about it online. Probably as bait.
English

@mooserocka331 @Charalanahzard No they don't. If you've ever looked at game developer CVs you are bound to eventually find many cases of "work in unannounced project". NDAs and professional discretion is a thing
English

@Charalanahzard I still don’t know why you don’t just say exactly what projects you worked on? Everyone always says I worked on this not I was just a blanket writer for things . If you did great if you didn’t great it’s just weird
English

I am aware it’s fairly pointless to address this because if you fall for the bs I think you’ve actively *chosen* to, but yes, I was a writer on a AAA game at Sony’s Santa Monica for four straight years. I created characters, developed main plot lines, wrote levels, etc. I worked with hundreds of people who can (and do) support my this.
Anyone who tells you I fabricated this (or ‘only worked on a cookbook’) is an idiot.
English

@rjprice25 @JorgYoswood @PaulTassi @GamerUPGaming There was no substantial difference. It was just a rebrand.
The major components meant to go into what made it a sequel it never did.
English

@JorgYoswood @PaulTassi @GamerUPGaming If you stripped all of the insides of a pig and put them into a different shell of a pig, yes it would be a different pig. A more accurate metaphor for whatever it’s worth.
English

@DarylJawn @FilmCow Authors*do* get to pick and choose. It's their work, their choice.
English

@xaqq13 @jadel4w @JamrozGary @BryNgons That's a risky attitude though. When an employer does disagree with the "meta" and takes the artist to court, the artist will not be able to argue "but everyone does it!". They will still get the book thrown at them.
Artists should understand that risk and proceed accordingly
English

@jadel4w @JamrozGary @BryNgons The fact that clients often insist on seeing client work and expect you to have a password protected NDA page kind of speaks volumes on how the industry really views this "rule". I'm not saying its right, I'm just saying its become the meta.
English

If you apply to a job with a private portfolio that contains NDA work, I’m not going to hire you.
If you break NDA for your current employer then you’d do it with us too.
Take that risk but accept some studios will blacklist you for breaking NDA’s.
The people you send your portfolio to have no obligation to keep the work private either. And the industry is small.
I’ve seen someone apply with NDA work from a game we also work on. We know the work wasn’t signed off or even public.
Trust immediately lost.
Respect your NDA’s.
English

@sainimatic @Gidcheeen @SmilodonnaVT People forget just how fast and efficient GPUs are drawing high polycounts these days.
And what has been a complaint for the past year? high VRAM requirements.
For a central hero character? Worth it
English

@Gidcheeen @SmilodonnaVT in many cases tesselation / displacement performs worse than just having a heavier mesh
English

@vansh0ter @jadel4w @TsutsuYumeGunnm Anyone who has ever worked with those understands there are limitations to them (close up resolution, silhouette at angles, etc). The limitations of modelling the detail is performance, but when that's not at issue (it isn't here) then it has the best fidelity.
English

There’s literally nothing wrong with this.
It’s 2024, LODs exist, this IS optimised and results are gorgeous.
SmilodonnaVT 🍗@SmilodonnaVT
hey so this is the topology of the silent hill 2 remake pyramid head
English

@WallStreetApes @BarackObama The post above you includes links to organizations that provide material help to those in need.
Put aside your political bias, and instead seek to aid those in need. Your attempt to turn this into an argument shows you don't want to help, you want a fight.
English

@BarackObama The people who just lost their homes and everything they own while getting denied their $750 FEMA loans I’m sure will greatly appreciate your “thinking of them”… That’ll really help them all out so much. $200 million more overseas - Democrat money laundering cartel
English

Michelle and I are thinking about everyone in Florida, North Carolina, and across the Southeast whose lives have been upended by storms over the last couple of weeks. We’re grateful to the first responders and FEMA professionals who have put themselves in harm’s way to help. If you’re looking for ways to make a difference, go to: obama.org/stories/take-a…

English

@MollieDamon @PhilSzostak This list is great, but I want to appeal to your selection with an additional inclusion. The Indie genre deserves recognition, too:

English

@silverpepsi @AmyClukey @rinconhilldad Big fallacy: It's not a failed strategy just because it's not flawless. Someone else might still do it, but she doesn't have to be the one propagating it.
"If you don't do something counterproductive someone will" is also a very bad life philosophy
English

@AmyClukey @rinconhilldad This is a failed strategy - security through obscurity. You don't, someone else will. Why not demand assignments written in Google docs? The ENTIRE DRAFT HISTORY is available, you can see their thought process, currently non trivial to fake with AI
English

@TMllIll @Dachsjaeger Imagine you are driving a car on a road. You have to swerve and brake trying to dodge some holes on your way. You miss some, you hit some.
It's uncomfortable.
You are blaming the car for the holes on the road.
English

@Molindawolf @barbella_alex @Pennylane130267 @kw1979 @ElieNYC They asked if you believed in democracy (a concept); Congress is not democracy, it's a branch of government.
A government by the people for the people should be decided by the people. The electoral college system does not represent the will of the people.
English

@CatholicCharm Consult a canon lawyer, argue (and probably obtain) for nullity before the Church
Ta-dah! No abuse needed, you can still go your separate ways (and with a declaration of nullity from the Church).
Things aren't all black or white, even in matters of faith.
English

@TheCartelDel That was *if* anyone managed to actually get the chance to pay for one without resorting to a scalper!
English

I am sorry for the confusion everyone. I have reverted back to not buying the PS5 Pro.
Wario64@Wario64
Price for the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Bundle in Australia is $1,649.95. For reference, regular PS5 Pro is $1,199 in Australia. Bundle price could be ~$1100-$1200 US Dollars in America. Preorders expected on PS Direct at around 7 AM PT in America
English

@DarthInternous @PaulTassi We know it means graphic violence, sex and cursing. That's it.
The issue is that it dilutes the identity (imo). Why are peoplw not making the same argument for Mickey Mouse or Toy Story? The fans have grown there, too.
I think R rated SW is gratuitous
English

@PaulTassi How do you define what would qualify as "r rated" Star Wars?
English

I think that at some point Disney needs to pull the trigger and do at least *some* R-rated Star Wars stuff. Not that it’s the only factor in terms of quality, but given the average age of a Star Wars fan in 2024…
Robert Meyer Burnett, Viceroy of Verisimilitude@RMBee
The first episode of PENGUIN is an absolute banger. Boy how I wish we’d get STAR WARS series of this caliber.
English

@NotAxelCarnage @Shakacarnage @SpaceStationHo1 No, it isn't. Games are not reality simulators. You can't include everything in a game. OP covered this in this very tweet
English

@Shakacarnage @SpaceStationHo1 Then that's the very problem with the engine, and Ubisoft's philosophy is all about "realism" and "immersion" yet everything they produce (apart from AC Unity which is leagues ahead any other Ubi game), feels so outdated and 10 years behind
They can still be held accountable
