10 months ago this road was not even half done, with 22 gaps in between, with multiple land acquisition issues. It looked that the road will take 2 more years for completion in addition to the Railway RUB that would have taken 6 more months. The Hon’ble Deputy CM @DKShivakumar visited the site and motivated the engineers to work overtime and finish the work in one year. He asked, ‘Can we open this road by next year Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Jayanthi?!’ NPKL BDA engineers literally worked day & night and made that possible. The Railway RUB took exactly 94 days. Well done BDA engineers, Railway officials and Land acquisition officers! The leadership by BDA Chairman @mlanaharis was also exemplary. The road is going to be open on trial basis as and when the police gives the clearance and then formally to be inaugurated soon. 🫡

Here is another citizen raising concerns over footpath encroachment by street vendors near Fun World on Jayamahal Road, Bengaluru. This stretch was once appreciated as one of the city’s better pedestrian-friendly roads on our channel. Sadly, footpaths are slowly turning inaccessible again. @BCCCofficial visit this stretch from Cantonment underpass right up to Mehkri. @Captain_Mani72 @BDAOfficialGok @rajkarnalli @MSRNECBLR M s Ramaiah north east county ,BEL phas 1 and BEL phase 2 total 600 sites are BDA approved layouts paying BDA tax and Maintenance charges to BDA from 2011 onwards till date. We are neglected by local civic authorities as we pay taxes to BDA. kindly help to sort out this issue.

We were informed by Zonal engineer in November 2025 that it will take 3 months for hand over to local municipal authority or panchayat. We again received tax and maintenance demand for this year which we again paid.. let us know when will 3 month end?

With reference to your Tweet the matter is being processed. The BDA Commissioner has approved forwarding the file to the Government for handing over the layout to the respective Gram Panchayat or Municipal Administration. Further, the file has been referred to the Finance Member (FM) for opinion regarding taxes paid by the local residents. After receiving consent from the Urban Development Department, Bangalore Development Authority requires approximately 3 months to complete the handing over process of the layout.
