Despite a large demand this morning in frozen @ERCOT_ISO the grid performed well- traditional fuels did their thing, and storage provided about 7 K MW of power early this coming before solar came - Solar and gas each providing about 35% midday - grid working well.

Batteries will make a major difference during this storm. Biggest difference between 2026 and Winter Storm Uri in 2021 is that we now have 17,000 megawatts of battery capacity on the grid, compared to 220 MW five years ago. Texas recently passed California as the #1 battery state
