@CatholicDrip___ Psalm 138:2 says God magnifies His Word ABOVE His Name.
We know how He feels about His Name from the 10 Commandments. I think His Name is higher than any church. His Word is above that.
So, quit worshipping a church and give priority to His Holy Word.
English

@dapkus_john Profitable doesn’t mean sola Scriptura
Stop placing the Bible above God’s established church
English

@PracticalTheolo @DefiyantlyFree Show me a place where David gets and accepts worship.
English

@dapkus_john @DefiyantlyFree It would help if you could say where, exactly, scripture is being twisted.
Is ignoring all the instances where David is worshiped in the OT scripture twisting on your part?
English

@hookskat If that's your take on it, you didn't pay attention. This is the only "book" that tells its readers the standard that God sets. Gives an understanding that you can't meet it, and God steps in to fulfill your part so you "meet" His standard. He pays your "debt" and offers it
English

@PracticalTheolo @DefiyantlyFree Your scripture twisting is going to tie you in knots.
Please, for the sake of your immortal soul, repent of your blasphemy.
English

@dapkus_john @DefiyantlyFree The 'only' there is re the verb 'serve', but again, David is worshiped many times in the OT, including *alongside* Yahweh. Sorry to burst yer bubble on this.
English

Worshiping a divinely ordained king is scriptural. David is worshiped in more instances in the OT than Jesus is in the NT.
But Jesus didn't correct Thomas because Thomas wasn't calling Jesus God, as is obvious if you just go back 11 verses, where Jesus tells Thomas (through Mary Magdalene) that Thomas' God is the Father, not Jesus. Thomas is referring to the Father when he says 'my God'.
English

@PracticalTheolo @DefiyantlyFree Dude, Jesus allows Himself to be worshipped.
Why didn't he stop Thomas?
I am sorry, but you are wrong and need to repent before it's too late!

English

@dapkus_john @DefiyantlyFree When Jesus says he and the Father are one, it's obvious he means *re the sheep*. Just back up 2 lines. And back up 1 line and he says the Father is greater than he is. That's not God-talk but the *opposite*.
English

@PracticalTheolo @DefiyantlyFree "Hath God said?" Your boss Satan said that to Eve in the garden.
Oh by the way, Jesus NEVER SAID THAT.

English

@dapkus_john @DefiyantlyFree Jesus himself tells you he isn't God again and again and again. No idea why you're quoting Matthew 13 here, tho'.
English

@Mr_Husky1 I couldn't pronounce Michael when my brother, who ruined the good thing I had going, came along. I said something to the effect of muggers. That became Mugs. He turned 58 yesterday. 🤣
English

@Mr_Husky1 My grandson called an escalator the "upscalator" about 13 years ago. We now all call them upscalators and downscalators.
English

@PracticalTheolo @DefiyantlyFree If given a choice between trusting what God (Jesus) said and what some internet tare sower rando says; I'll stick with God (Jesus).
Here's another quote for you to figure out;

English

@dapkus_john @DefiyantlyFree The fantasy Jesus is the one 4th century man-made doctrines invented, tho'.
But you're welcome to make an argument relying on those quotes.
English

@PracticalTheolo @DefiyantlyFree One day you will be face to face with Jesus. The real Jesus, not the fantasy Jesus you follow.
It's not set up. It's direct quotes from God. OT and NT.
English

Your best argument requires all this overhead just to get off the ground? 🤔
'First and last' is a descriptor, and means encompassing or sufficient re a domain. The narrator of Revelation tells you what it means with Jesus - first and last re the resurrection.
He also tells you that Jesus and God are two different things in the *first line* of his book.
English

@Eric_Conn Boy are you going to be in for a shock at the sheep and goats judgment.
English

Years ago I had some baptist friends who invited us to a Sader meal. I had no idea what that was at the time, so mostly out of curiosity we went to check it out.
When I saw their kids at the table, I asked, "Why are your kids participating?"
"They are part of the covenant household. Naturally they would participate in a covenant meal."
The same kids were not baptized and did not partake in the Lord's Supper. I found that interesting.
English

@PracticalTheolo @DefiyantlyFree And... the Pharisees sure thought He was claiming to be God.
