Ridiculous. Maybe he wants a piece of our carbon tax revenue 😂

While other countries are still learning how to circle the moon, in Canada we have secretly landed on Mars and built the MAR Tower

Incredible. The Seine is about 100 meters (330 ft) wide in that area, leaving virtually zero margin for error with the Canadair water bomber’s 28-meter (92-ft) wingspan. Scooping from a winding river is rare, for obvious reasons. Supporting our friends in need is what 🇨🇦 does.

Rare sight. A French Canadair water bomber scoops water from the Seine, 50 km from Paris, to support firefighters battling a wildfire in the Fontainebleau Forest. via @Ant01ne

I don’t believe Carney is a pushover. There has to be another reason he decided to agree to splitting the tolls 50/50. Time will tell.

How do you get @claudeai to run an orchestrator, design, build, review, test loop to not ask for permission for anything in the project directory

@brandur To get any kind of traction at all hyperscalers would have to pick it up. We shall see. GPL license won't help that.

Speaking of rewrites, 100% passing tests is impressive. Who knows where this will go, but it'd be ironic if it gained traction due to PG's stubborn refusal to adopt modernisms like threads, or build in features everybody wants like connection pooling. github.com/malisper/pgrust

REPOOO👇

@MPelletierCIO Amazing to see so many people taking Meta and the UCP at their word. Data centres only seem to bring regret to the places they been set up so far.

Amazing to see so many Albertans oppose this data centre project by Meta in Sturgeon County. Reminds a lot of those who were against the arena in Calgary or the winter Olympics. Mainly an older demographic of NIMBY, and don't touch my property taxes. We have to take risk folks, we need to explore ways to provide opportunities for our young people. Lets start building and thinking of our kids and grandkids instead of ourselves.

@MPelletierCIO I think development is important. However water demand is a key issue with data centers. That’s the not same as the olympics or a new arena.

I heard this yesterday and made me laugh. When asked about his wife’s visa being stolen and why he didn’t report it, Warren Buffett said it was because whoever stole it was spending less money than she was. 🫡🤣

I'm curious what it would take a talented engineer to build Postgres from scratch in 2026. Not a slopfork. Written in Rust, from the ground up, and fixing the mistakes of the original design (process per connection, table bloat, schema catalog). Who wants to burn some tokens?

When people say models are good at coding they mean they’re good like an L3 at IBM, not like an L8 at FAANG
