listening to dream pop and shoegaze while working lately and it's been nice. music is sort of monotonous and background-y enough to not be distracting but noisy and pretty enough to be inspiring and create a good vibe for the studio. I really know nothing about the genre though, any recommendations are appreciated!

Something nobody tells you about scaling a studio past $100k/mo: Your problems don't go away. They change shape. At $10k/mo, the problem is finding clients. At $50k/mo, the problem is juggling multiple projects at once. At $100k/mo, the problem is building a team that doesn't need you in every conversation. We might hit $200k this month, but the lesson is the same at every stage. Every revenue milestone comes with a new flavor of hard. You don't grow out of problems. You grow into better ones. The job is figuring out which problems are the right ones to have.

🇲🇽☕️Yesterday I stopped by Triana- a tiny coffee stall inside the Mercado San Juan in Mexico City. They make a Italian style medium-dark roast with beans from Oaxaca. Very good! Do you have recommendations for great espresso spots in Mexico City?

@david__dooley @guidorosso @rive_app I don’t think this is related to retaining timeline position. I’d check to see if your asset is set to 0% opacity in design mode. You can always set that to 100% in design mode so you can see your assets.

@olegcoada One thing that's made me a lot more comfortable in recent years is not needing to take notes on the call. Let a transcription tool take care of that so you can stay focused. And as @AlexAperios said, lots and lots of reps.

I’m a 31-year-old husband and dad, with 10 years of experience in design, and I still feel nervous about call meetings. What should I do to become more confident, especially in sales and communication?

@feldman Rate limits. I'm on Claude and ChatGPT's ~€20p/m plan. I'm constantly hitting limits with Claude Code. If I had a bit more runway with Claude I'd cancel GPT in an instant.

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I have zero interest in talking to any device or software with my voice. The only time I’ve ever done this is with the Nest Hub to set a timer while cooking. I do not want a voice controlled device.

I have integrated Nano Banana into my Aesthetron AI, and now you can generate images in the UI by specifying the prompt to call the image generation tool.

@socoloffalex Ever try do the questionnaire live on a call? I've found clients are a lot more forthcoming with their answers, revealing things they may not have believed relevant in a written format.

It always starts with a brand questionnaire. This is how I get inside the client's head - their goals, philosophy, and personal design taste. No assumptions, just the right questions.
