Today, my staff was thrilled to join Montgomery County Officials as we celebrated a major step toward bringing back into operation White’s Ferry of Dickerson, Maryland. Montgomery County has reached an agreement to acquire the White's Ferry property, with Chuck and Stacy Kuhn donating the ferry boats and business assets. While work remains to restore landing rights in Virginia, today's agreement moves us one step closer to reopening this historic crossing and reconnecting our communities. I look forward to the continued partnership needed to get White's Ferry back in service!

Well, just got my property tax from Montgomery County, MD. Nearly $5,000 now. For a pretty regular end unit town house. Olney area. $5,000 just on my primary home. This doesn't include Maryland income tax. Maryland sales taxes. Energy taxes. Etc.
