@Rpaulindaigle 1 of 2 approaches 1 Anyone can have ideas so I share high level ideas but make clear it's just brainstorming w/o any idea of prioritization, potential impact, or implementation 2 Give ideas and implementation plan and let them run with it - they'll come back if they want help

Potential client requests a proposal, but asks you for "ideas for how to improve the website" before hopping on a call. Aka - free consulting. How do you respond?

One of my money rules: don’t pay more than $50 for sunglasses. I lose or break em fast and like having many pairs stashed away in convenient places (car, gym bag, etc). What are your fav sub $50 sunglasses? Still can’t find perfect quality lenses. Good news is that stylish ones are plentiful.

@JHTScherck We all have Apple MBP M2 16gb I've heard air is fine but would rather pay a little bit more for the pro to be 100% sure they won't lag

Question for folks that buy apple hardware for their team. If an employee is: 1) hosting zooms and recording looms 2) running sitebulb/screaming frog 3) has a lot of chrome tabs open 5) streaming music while they work What kind of apple laptop do they need? An Airbook with 16 GB should be able to run fine, right?

@khemaridh Dude I had one Saturday morning when I had plans get canceled, so I turned on my TV and watched MMA fights on YouTube for 2 hours. I'd like to do that more often.

Guys I did something bat shit crazy on Monday. Completely out of character. Never done anything this nuts in my life. I woke up and watched an episode of Peaky Blinders at 8am. I think I'm having a spiritual awakening

My wife & I welcomed our 2nd son into the world last week. Everyone’s healthy & home from hospital 💖 Since I missed @browsercompany’s Series B announcement gonna instead share the raw “story behind the story” of what went down. Stuff I’m “not supposed to say” but is real…

With @ahrefs doing all its AI platform enhancements - one thing I'd love to see get pushed live - updating the internal link opportunities report in the auditor (v underrated) to move from exact match text suggestions to close variants. cc @patrickstox

"How do you get rich while having a day job?" A banger "first date" with @noahkagan on entrepreneurial pivots. Common mistakes from first-time entrepreneurs: 1. Scared to ask Rejection gets translated into "I'm a bad person." But no ask, no customers. 2. Wantrepreneurship Tons of research spent on $100 Work. Tools, landing pages, competitor analysis and trademarking all distract from one question. Will anyone buy this? 3. Don't peddle solutions - look for actual problems Learning AI. Big Whoop. How AI can solve a very specific problem for your avatar? Now we're talking. 4. You don't have to build There's tons of value in documenting, curating and researching things on the behalf of other people. Full episode out in Feb

Really good customer service is a competitive advantage. Here are a few companies that have it in the eCommerce space. As a result, it is an absolute pleasure working with them: Uline. Like them or hate them, but the customer service at Uline is unparalleled. Insane delivery speeds. If you call their 1800 number, there is no phone tree. Some guy just says "What's up Moiz - how I can help". It is unreal. SendLane. I'm not an investor, advisor, and have no skin in the game so don't @ me bro. But everyone I know has basically said the Sendlane CEO and CS team is insane. Stamped. io These guys used to have insane customer service. I don't even know how they did it. You could email them at 1AM or 1PM, and they'd respond in 5 seconds and solve your problem and sign off with the name Tommy. Either Tommy is on cocaine all the time, or they were so well staffed that they would solve an issue really quickly. ConversionXL. I worked with a guy named Ben Labay. Again, I've got no skin in the game. Was amazing to work with, and responsive af. Who are some other people with great CS in the space? Please mention them so I can buy from them + they get some publicity!

@airtable I love using Airtable but this gives me concern that someone isn't paying attention and is going to shut down our account even though we're paying for the Team plan. Airtable is critical to our business and we can't risk that happening.
