CAA has been made aware of a violent assault that is believed to have taken place in Golders Green in the early hours of this morning. We understand that at approximately 02:00, a 22-year-old Jewish man stepped outside his apartment to make a phone call. While speaking Hebrew, he was allegedly targeted by five masked men who chased him, dragged him across the road and subjected him to a brutal assault. During the attack, the assailants reportedly tore his clothes, threw away his shoes and shouted abuse in Arabic. It is being said that the victim was left close to losing consciousness. Police were called by a neighbour who heard the disturbance, but the suspects fled before officers arrived and have not yet been identified.
