@Christianjw92 It's not difficult to understand. One was guilty of gross misconduct (Jenas), and the other was innocent until proven guilty in court. If Edwards had admitted guilt prior to court, then he would've been terminated contractually.

@mattletiss7 Edwards was innocent until proved guilty in court, Jenas, presumably, was guilty of gross misconduct, so an instant termination of contract was possible. As far as I'm aware, Edwards didn't admit guilt prior to appearing in court?

If we’re going to spend £200 million on @covidinquiryuk, the very least we could do is to pay a tiny fraction to an IT forensics expert who would have no difficulty in retrieving @BorisJohnson ‘s “missing” WhatsApp messages. They have been magically “lost” for a very good reason.
