National identity is derived from ancestry, just as gender is derived from sex. You can no more become English than a man wearing a dress can call himself a woman. Having different heritage doesn't mean you should be mistreated, just as men and women should treat one another with respect. It's not complicated, and it shouldn't be controversial.

The Telegraph reports certain schools are being warned that children’s drawings could be considered 'blasphemous' under Islamic law. They're also told music and dance classes could be 'contrary' to the teachings of Islam. I am absolutely sick of this, to be entirely honest.

No. English Literature does not need to be ‘more diverse’… Shakespeare, Austen, Dickens, Hardy, Orwell, Tolkien: who cares if they’re white?!? Classic English Literature is one of the best in the world, defines our culture and has inspired many contemporary writers. And the writing is just beautiful. Schools are failing kids if they don’t teach them because they’re deemed too difficult or not diverse enough (whatever that nonsense means!). More dumbing down from Labour.
