@airmailer for the last few months on iPhone the “mark unread” has not worked. It appears to work but then has marked itself read again next time I open the app. This is making it too dangerous to continue using for work. Any chance you could investigate?

Socket
Socket@SocketSecurity·
🚨 Active supply chain attack on axios@1.14.1. The latest version pulls in plain-crypto-js@4.2.1 -- a brand-new package that didn't exist before today. Socket's AI analysis flags it as a malicious obfuscated dropper: runtime deobfuscation, dynamic execSync loading, payload staging to temp/ProgramData directories, and post-execution artifact deletion. Consistent with supply chain malware. We're still investigating. If you use axios, pin your version and audit your lockfile.

@jeffrey_way Always wondered what people that work in coffee shops do when they need the toilet? Pack everything up then come back to someone else in your chair and your coffee missing?

I go out of my mind if I don't leave the house for at least some portion of the day. So I often work at coffee shops. All I want is a cozy brick wall fireplace coffee shop. I swear these somehow no longer exist. Every new trendy coffee shop only cares about cement.

I’ve started a separate account for the security side of what I’m building. Mostly notes from real server compromises, common Laravel mistakes, and things that quietly go wrong in production. There’s a product coming out of this soon, so keeping it focused: @signascope

Some frameworks blur the line between frontend and backend. But if a server method is exposed to the browser, it can usually be invoked directly from dev tools. Not through your UI, but around it. Treat every exposed method like a public API.

@adamwathan @paper I’m sure there is probably more to it, but that pitch just sounds no different to all the other drag and drop web builders that “code behind the scenes” we’ve all hated for the last 20 years.

I'm so excited about what @paper is building, so we're joining their journey as investors and partners to do whatever we can to help make Paper the absolute best design tool in the world for modern web teams. A free-form design tool built around the DOM has so much potential to completely change the way we go from design to code. Imagine designing something in Paper, then just being able to right-click and copy as perfect HTML + Tailwind. Or taking an existing code component and importing it into Paper to edit as if it were a Figma file. I think a few years from now we'll laugh about the hand-off process we put up with today, and I'm excited to support the @paper team as they completely reimagine how we design and deliver UIs for the web 🚀

This is flux. I've worked on it pretty much all day every day for the last 8 months. I have told you almost nothing about it. It will be in your hands on August 28th That is all

@fideloper Migrate…instant regret as I forgot to add a column…rollback and re-migrate. I do this loads. A full reseed can be a pain if you’ve just been testing inputting loads of data and just want to continue on.

@PovilasKorop I gave Herd a go a couple of weeks ago and it really is great but the fact you can’t map a site to a custom domain for e.g. google auth meant it was an instant uninstall for me 😕

The wait is over! Caveat that many people noticed: MySQL is available only in Herd Pro version. I'm not against paying for good tools, but just wanted to note this important point for those who want to use Herd but can't afford Pro. For those people, there's still Laragon.

If your method isn't index, create, store, edit, update, delete then make another controller where it CAN be one of those methods. Major 🔑.

Confession: The `apply` feature in Tailwind basically only exists to trick people who are put off by long lists of classes into trying the framework. You should almost never use it 😬 Reuse your utility-littered HTML instead. m.youtube.com/watch?v=ab8ReP…

@taylorotwell The modal close buttons don't work on the fpm alert info (after clicking the question mark). Clicking outside the modal does still work though.
