I think you're assuming you clearly understand the reason that Alex removed the interview. I saw the interview. And I really liked it. However, I also recognized that the interview was very off brand for Alex and the people that need him. Because the reality is that Alex is at a place in his life where overcoming suffering is indeed something he needs. But this is not where most of his customer base is at. His ideal avatar suffers, and has to suffer in order to reach their goals. And Alex preaches that because he knows that the majority of people are not Tony Robbins type characters, and nor will they ever be. Instead, they're regular hard working people that will make uncomfortable sacrifices to reach their goals. And for the people that do, wonderful. That's when they'll need someone like Robbins. But until then, they'll need someone like Hermozi. For these reasons, I doubt Alex removed the interview because of his ego; instead I think he removed it because it's off brand, doesn't help his ideal avatar at all, and potentially hurts his ideal avatar. Because although I love Tony, personally I'm not in a position where his advice is calibrated for me. And try as I might, I can't bring myself to the level of vibration and positivity that Robbins preaches. Who knows though. Maybe one day.

The guy who's been doing this since Hormozi was in diapers. And the interview was good. It humanized him. Made him feel less like a content machine and more like a guy still figuring things out. So he deleted it. Because his ego couldn't handle looking like a student. Couldn't handle Tony being the bigger name in the room. Couldn't handle not being the smartest guy on the thumbnail. This is the disease of guys who get rich too fast. They start believing their own highlight reel. Every interview becomes a performance. Every podcast a power move. Tony didn't need that interview. Alex did. And the second it didn't make him look like the alpha, it got memory-holed. The irony? That interview made him more likeable than 100 of his own videos ever did. People don't connect with the guy who has all the answers. They connect with the guy still asking questions. Ego is the most expensive thing you'll ever own. And Alex just paid full price.
