If human reason is the instrument, it cannot manufacture its own standard weight to check its own accuracy. By admitting your view cannot rule out a 'Brain in a Vat,' you've conceded the argument. If naturalism leaves you with an instrument that might be entirely wrong about reality, then your 'calibration' is just calibrating an illusion. You haven't proven reason is limited; you've proven that under naturalism, it's completely blind.

Wow. Shocked today to watch the Liberals and NDP vote against protecting the private property rights of Canadian homeowners. When a citizen pays their taxes, follows the law, maintains their property and still cannot be certain that they own their own home, something has gone profoundly wrong. Private property rights are not a luxury, nor an appendage to our system of government. They are not some kind of optional add-on to our society or to our democracy. They are quite literally the foundation on which Western civilization, capitalism and our economy are built. For me, the defence of private property is and always will be a red line. It is in every way a fundamental human right, and we must never submit to trade it away in the name of political convenience. Every citizen deserves to know that their government will do whatever it takes to ensure that Canadians can trust that what they own is truly theirs. Without exception.

In May of 2020, George Floyd was murdered by police officer Derek Chauvin. In 2026, 450+ people have been murdered by police. As humanists, we cannot remain apathetic while our tax dollars pay for the murder of our neighbors. Get educated, and get involved!

Today, we pause to remember the Americans who laid down their lives in service to our nation. May we always honor their legacy and support the loved ones they left behind.

Generation after generation, men and women put on the uniform knowing the risk — and went anyway knowing they might not come home. Knowing their families would carry that for the rest of their lives. To the families still carrying that weight — I see you. The pain doesn’t go away, but neither does the pride. Freedom has never been guaranteed. It has to be earned, defended, and sometimes paid for in the hardest way imaginable. Today on Memorial Day, we stop, we slow down, and we remember those who did. We honor them. We thank them. And we work hard to live up to what they died for. Keep the democracy they believed in worth believing in. That is the ultimate tribute for their sacrifice.

On Memorial Day, we pay tribute to the brave men and women in uniform who gave their lives for this country that we love. It is a debt we can never fully repay, but we must never stop trying. I’ll always be grateful to our fallen heroes and their families, whose sacrifice reminds us of what it means to live for something greater than ourselves.
