I would like to live in a high-trust society. The decline of trust is something worth caring about, and reversing it is something worth doing. We should not have to live constantly wondering if we're being lied to or scammed. Trust should be possible again.

I voted to extend TPS for Haitians because I cannot, in good conscience, send people who were lawfully granted protection here, followed our laws, and built lives under our rules back to rape, murder, and chaos in a lawless Haiti. This is completely separate from amnesty or illegal immigration. Conflating the two is dangerous.

Why can’t politicians get it through their thick skulls we do NOT want a path to citizenship for illegals. One it does not show good faith that the first thing they did was break into our home. Two the ability of illegals to hide in plain sight for years doesn’t mean they deserve a pathway to citizenship. It means we were too lax and we need to step up our efforts in defense of our home. And three illegals choosing not to learn English and expecting us accommodate them doesn’t bode well for them proving they can be good neighbors and citizens. These people broke into our home refused to assimilate used resources that should have gone to Americans fly their own flags while disparaging ours why oh why would we want them as neighbors?
