Since @USCIS mandated electronic payment of filing fees last fall, petitions and applications are being rejected daily for alleged payment issues. These 7 rejection packages alone cost USCIS $73.49 in postage to send back to our office. How much money is being wasted nationwide re-mailing cases that should never have been rejected in the first place? And how much additional delay is this creating for applicants, employers, and the agency itself?

Meanwhile on the demand side you have Millennials and Gen Z leaving their parents homes to buy/rent their own places, and in-migration by highly-paid professionals. There's more, smaller households now.

Housing kept being built sprawling farther and farther out from the cities. Those houses are affordable, but require hell commutes.
