@sriharikaranth@Captain_Mani72@BDAOfficialGok Nice work, but few questions. What is the rationale for this aligment ? Sits between Nice Road and proposed PRR. Passes through relatively uncogested and underdeveloped side of the city....NPKL is half developed, lot of litigation. Some skydeck.
Got this stunning aerial view of the new 10-lane MAR Road with monsoon clouds in the backdrop during sunset.

@ashwinmahesh It is not even clear if double decker is required in this stretch. The present ring road is decent enough except for a few stretches till Mysore road from JP nagar. The main stretch to focus is connect Vega mall to silk board...
Orange Line construction will require significant rework on Vega Mall junction, Delmia Jn, Puttenahalli Underpass jn, and Sarakki junction. These are the four north-south arterials for people in the south. Construction of the line should be phased to ensure that alternates are available while each junction is rebuilt. @comm_blr_south@nammametro
@ashwinmahesh@GBA_office That is ideal. As a first step, at some of the selected spaces, there should be information / imagination boards of the spaces (pre and post ) in Kannada and English....and a way to seek inputs, feedback from residents.
This event should be held separately in each corporation. The places to be improved are not all in the city center, and the people interested in these places are in their respective areas. To have higher and better participation, GBA should engage them where they are. @sanjaysridhar.
Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) invites you to a landmark two-day OPEN HOUSE at Town Hall. This is more than an event, it’s a first-of-its-kind initiative to transform our city's road infrastructure from just corridors for traffic into shared public spaces.
Why should you be there?
Since May 2025, community groups and professionals have nominated over 250 overlooked spaces.
We have developed 188 feasible projects into ready-to-invest proposals that address:
🛑 Increasing Road safety

@Captain_Mani72@BDAOfficialGok@blrcitytraffic@_kanakapuraroad@mlanaharis Raising issue on BDA helpline resulted in this: Thank you for contacting the BDA Citizen Assistance Cell. Your grievance has been registered with Grievance ID (GID) BDA-101339 and forwarded to the Zonal Commissioner, South Zone . Attend open house on 7th March !!
We should have events like this around EVERY lake in the city. Once people experience and understand these things locally, their responses are likelier to change.

Government should plan to extend the metro line to NICE Road on Bannerghatta Road. All other metro lines Green, Purple and Yellow line touch NICE Road. Why is Pink Line not planned that way ?
@ashwinmahesh Terminating at Kalena Agrahara will lead to chaos on Bannerghatta Road - especially Meenakshi mall is already a choke point. There should be parking, good footpaths and skywalks to drop people across key nodes near the station.
BRMCL should extend the Pink Line to connect to NICE Road junction. The Yellow and Green lines to the east and west of Pink already do that. So does the Purple Line. While developing large mobility infrastructure, it is important to connect it to transit points where people can change directions of movement too. This is standard in mobility plans, but the ad hoc way in which we develop infrastructure one piece at a time misses such things.
@ashwinmahesh It is strange that there is no standard terms of reference applied for metro lines. The key among them should be to extend at least till NICE and/oir Ring Road, have appropriate parking infra and last mile connectivity.
Will YOUR TunnelRd provide Safety&Functionality during rains like today,@DKShivakumar@BSPrahalla58684?
Answer honestly
If yes, then Y dont u take up challenge of ensuring Safety&Functionality of normal SurfaceRoads FIRST?
If no,then Y not cancel TRP&focus on PT?
