EPFO additions are not new jobs from MoUs. they include first time formal workers, informal to formal transitions, and rejoiners, much of which would have happened anyway through normal payroll growth. So what the slide really shows is one set of inflated promises stacked against another, dressed up as present day achievement. Sometimes you get that urge to counter stupid oopie narratives on this app. A simple Google search or even a good quality AI search would tell you the actual pic. TN is genuinely a top industrial state. Thats not the question. Question is whether the DMK propaganda machine deserves to claim sole credit for it, when only 35% of their own MoU projects are actually running and lost many good ones, and TN’s unemployment is above the national average, and the state was already India’s industrial heartland long before 2021. Let me tell you the reality as I'm from Kanchipuram. Kanchipuram is one of the biggest manfacturing hubs in Asia - Hyundai, L&T, Renault Nissan, Foxconn, Saint Gobain - There are multiple companies like this which is well established but You know the reality of Kanchipuram district including towns & villages? - No proper roads - No proper sewage system - No traffic management even inside Kanchipuram town. - No Malls or Parks - No HiFi cinema threaters like PVR - The bus stand we have is built by Anna in 1950s. No upgrades after that. Though the contribution is high in terms of per capita income, infrastructure of Kanchipuram is the worst even in the main town of Kanchipuram. All the people in Kanchipuram have to travel to Chennai for their job/studies on weekdays. Even for leisure we should go to Chennai. First give us proper roads before coming with airport. Basic amenities are important for us & even for the farmers. Even the villages nearby SIPCOTS doesn't have proper roads or bus facilities. Ithelam pannitu apuram airport ku vaanga. Only chennai is improved as a city but no other districts in KTCC have that much infrastructure. Whatever we sow, chennai only reaps it & grows. Chennai grow aaganum nu engala already backwards ku thalliyachu. If Airport is that necessary choose some other land, I'm sure lot of lands in Kanchipuram have been sold to real estates & buerocrates. Get the land from them.
