TypeScript 6.0 is now available! This release brings better type-checking for methods, new standard library features, new module features for Node.js, and more! But most important, this release brings us one step closer to the upcoming native-speed 7.0! devblogs.microsoft.com/typescript/ann…

@Dominus_Kelvin @skydotcs planetscale is $5 cloudflare workers 5$ ( not even considering free plan ) both have enough usage limits to get any reasonable app to profitable levels where cost doesn't matter. even if it costs more in the future it gives me peace of mind that it will scale and wont go down

@skydotcs Base plan 🥹 And are your users writing SQL to get the value your “app” is providing? Also the $22 is for 4 apps, 4 databases and 4 Redis instances and counting If you read the article you might have seen that 🥹

It boggles my mind that people think "TUI" must mean "uses little memory".

`tabular-nums` should be the default for any number that updates ( timers, counters, prices, percentages, scores, live data etc ). you can enable this tnum OpenType feature using the CSS property `font-variant-numeric`. .tabular-nums { font-variant-numeric: tabular-nums; }

@Nolaan_boy @neritamo_ @damnGruz for sure. half the shills are bots. other 25% is paid ( influences like theo ) 10% are the ai ceo's and crypto grifters finding a new thing. 5-3% shills can actually code. people who think you dont need to know to code are delusional or are jealous of people who can.

@damnGruz this is why I stopped gatekeeping "real coding" I run a screen printing shop and built an entire iOS app with AI without writing a single line myself. vibecoding isn't cheating, it's just a new tool the gap between "idea" and "shipped" has never been smaller

@tristanbob @Cloudflare setup ratelimits on cf you can count on they allow on WAF rule i believe also turn on all free ddos protections bots will still request to /api and other routes which cloudflare lets through sometimes. the bursts in my case die down quick after rate limits hit

I'm having fun building on @Cloudflare and using the very generous FREE tier. However, I recently needed more, so I upgraded to the $5/month pay-as-you-go plan and discovered some significant risks: 1) There is no way to set a hard budget limit 2) There is not even an easy way set up a notification fo based on dollars spent The only option we get is to set triggers PER service based on service UNITS, not dollars. How do you deal with this? I feel like I'm one DDoS away from going bankrupt.

AI can write migrations for me. This means I can go back to just using good ol' SQL queries and not bother with Drizzle or Prisma crap.

signs of taste in web ui: > every interaction happens in 100ms > no product tours > url /slugs are short and simple, no UIDs > persistent resumeable state > not more than 3 colors > no visible scrollbars > all navigation is under 3 steps > copyable svg logo + brandkit > skeleton loading states > copy paste from clipboard > larger hit targets for buttons/inputs > honest one click cancel > cmd + k > very minimal tooltips > copy is active voice, max 7 words per sentence > optical alignment vs geometric > optimized for L to R reading > reassurance about loss
