Delayed, but finally launching beta version of Home Service Base! To my knowledge, it's the first analytical tool designed specifically for the home service industry. It helps businesses understand the market, stay ahead of trends, and make informed decisions based on real, actionable data. I plan to update it daily. I already have a backlog of over 30 features based on existing data about the home service business – both in report form and for individual websites. The next big update will introduce filtering in the Home Service Business Database, allowing each chart in industry reports to be clickable and directly linked to relevant database filters. 🤩 Industries reports in the first batch: ✅ Electrical ✅ House cleaning ✅ HVAC ✅ Junk removal ✅ Painting ✅ Plumbing ✅ Pressure washing ✅ Roofing ✅ Window cleaning ... But you can get overview of company website for more than 30 industries. As this is a beta version, there may be some bugs or mismatched information, but I’m actively working on refining the data. The platform offers limited free functionality and a paid Pro version. As more features are implemented, the Pro version will become more expensive – but the current price will be locked in for early subscribers. I'm open to ideas for improving the product and welcome any feedback! If you share this post with your followers, it would mean the world to me – it’s the best way to support this project. Check it out: homeservicebase.com

Polishing the GBP audit tool, which I plan to make public today. Here's the overview section—I just found out one of my own profiles has a Health Score of 64/100! The Health Score is calculated across 12 internal GBP metrics that may impact visibility and CTR.

@mhp_guy Cursor AI has agent mode which works super cool, allows me to deliver features every day. It’s short action agent, which review code he writes 🤷‍♂️

Be honest: Who is ACTUALLY using AI agents successfully on a daily basis? Not automations, but actual agents. I'm playing with them daily but the last mile is HARD. Deep Research is amazing, and basically acts as an agent, but it's not an agent. I keep reading about X Y or Z company raising 8 figures for agents, but are these startups selling a dream, or a working, functional product? As of today, I think there's more money to be made talking about and fundraising for agents, but in the near future, the money will be made employing the agents. In all seriousness, please tell me exactly what your hands-off agent does for you on a daily basis so I can copy you!

@_Jason6539 Agree. It’s not healthy, but they’ve packaged it so well. I’m impressed, both from a customer and a professional standpoint.

I always wondered what the hell a cookie franchise is, what Crumbl is, why they have so many locations, and why everyone only mentions them in a positive context. Then I tried it once at dinner with friends. I was surprised - it’s not really about “cookies.” It’s more like original cakes. That’s when I first realized: “Cookies” here is just a simplified name for their product. Today, we ordered delivery, and from search to payment, the process was so smooth - perfect DoorDash integration on the website, Apple Pay, a rewards program, awesome design, a referral program, and cute packaging. I’ll remember them not for the taste of the “cookies” but because the whole experience is the product. That’s how branding works.

@TXbornJourney I totally agree that it’s not healthy, but they don’t hide the calorie information on their website. Their brand hooked me - here’s my point.

@dmytrope There is a dude on social currently advocating against crumble because of how bad it is for your health. He offers money to potential Crumble customers to not eat Crumble. Got to the point where the Founder of Crumble made a response video telling people to ignore the guy lol

Is there a Stripe/Twilio type service for direct mail that is mostly just a usage-based online tool where you can send direct mail campaigns?

You are right! However, there are fluctuations across states and cities. Seasonal demand for 26 industries, with filters by state, is available at homeservicebase.com. I've collected high-intent keywords for these industries, analyzed their seasonal search volumes, and built charts based on this data.

It’s going to be something really cool! I can’t stop reviewing my Google profiles and analyzing dependencies in impression fluctuations. So far, I’ve noticed that some episodic spikes in impressions occur when customers upload media to the profile. I’m starting to think this might be a very significant signal for Google. The goal is to have everything ready by the end of Friday so that everyone can check their profiles. A 6-month history will be available for free for 1 Google business profile. - Ranking keywords in dynamic - All possible CTRs in dynamic - Difference in local pack and maps impressions - Custom notes on chart about changes - Sharing report with customer if you are agency - And some more features And all of that not estimates, it’s real data.

I am working on an analytical tool for Google Business Profiles, and results from multiple profiles show that a 0.1 decrease in rating can lead to a 10-15% loss in profile impressions on a monthly basis. If you have a profile that meets the following criteria: 1. US based home service business 2. Profile older than 3 months 3. Profile has at least 30 reviews 4. You manage the profile And you want 1 FREE Google Business Profile audit and analysis of 6 months of historical data – highlighting insights you've never seen before – repost or reply to this tweet, and I'll add you to the waitlist. The audit will be ready by this Friday.

What is going on here? Docker, I can explain. But for Chrome and Cursor, I have questions.

For the first time in the last few years, I turned off the @Ahrefs Chrome Extension bar in search results because, after the latest updates, it overloads Google SERPs and makes scrolling impossible for a while. They have 300,000 users of the Chrome Extension – it's very sad if everyone experiences the same issue as I do. 😞

@WillR0mero It depends. In most cases, you don’t need service+city pages, especially for small cities. Just list all your services on the city page. Also, check your area’s search results – if you see service+city pages appearing, then consider them.

Local SEO is all about service areas. Do you have a dedicated page for every city you serve? If not, what are you waiting for? How to create unique content for these pages: 1. Show reviews from that city. 2. Showcase completed jobs in that city. 3. Add a short paragraph about the city in the context of your service (ChatGPT can help!). 4. !!! Include a contextual external link to the city government website (this strengthens topical and geo relevance). How to know how small individual areas to cover? Open your LSA leads report, and get all unique city names from Location column, it's your pages! Let me know if it gives you results!

3 ways I use AI in my appliance repair company: 1. Transcribing calls on demand in our lead-inbox system (Whisper API). 2. Auto-responding to 4-5 star reviews (we receive ~130 per month) (OpenAI API). 3. Cursor AI – While it’s not AI in the process itself, it generates a lot of AI-powered code when I creating solutions. This has been the most valuable use case so far, allowing me to develop internal tools that automate my business. Some examples include: – Syncing data with HCP – Generating analytical reports – Creating individual technician reports – Developing a payout system integrated with Mercury Bank – Sending various notifications (missed calls, new jobs, canceled jobs, etc.) Hiring a development team would cost tens of thousands of dollars, but I built most of these solutions in just 1–2 days each. How do you use AI in your company?
