Andrea Turkalo: Inhabitants of the developed world live far from the natural resource base & have no real idea how their consumption impacts the natural world.

Today Wes Streeting overruled NICE so he personally buys medication for the entire NHS He did this so he can give an extra £6.4bn a year to the USA for nothing Paying Doctors an extra £0.6bn a year is too expensive But 10x as much for Donald Trump is done without question

On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, a court hearing is expected to be held regarding the extension of Dr. Abu Safiya’s detention, following a notification by the Israeli Advocate General’s office that it has requested an extension. - Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, has been held in custody in Israel since December 2024, has not faced any charges and has received no information about the grounds for his detention. Dr. Abu Safiya's lawyer has not been allowed to meet with him for more than two months, ever since his transfer to Ketziot Prison and despite reports of violence, significant weight loss and medical neglect. - Besides Dr. Abu Safiya, Israel is holding another 13 physicians and dozens of nurses and paramedics under unlawful detention. Their case illustrates only a small part of the systematic and sweeping harm inflicted on Gaza’s medical teams, which has included extrajudicial killings, as well as detention without trial, inhumane conditions, and the denial of food and medical treatment in detention. - Instead of caring for thousands of wounded people in Gaza, doctors and nurses are being held in unlawful detention in Israel. This is both a moral and legal crime. We demand the immediate release of Dr. Abu Safiya and all medical personnel currently held in Israel, and we call on the international community to intervene and put an end to this abuse. #FreeDrHussamAbuSafiya

🚨BREAKING : In a new massacre, Israeli drones directly targeted a phone-charging point run by civilian Imad Miqdad moments ago in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City, killing him along with other civilians. With no electricity infrastructure left in displacement camps, solar-powered and improvised energy points have become essential for survival, yet they are being deliberately targeted, cutting civilians off from even the most basic means of living.
