Yep. Admittedly, I was still very much in my affiliate "era" at that point. I laughed, continued to make fun of those swearing paid links don't work/matter etc. Now.. I wouldn't touch a traditional affiliate/AdSense site with a hundred-foot pole! Heck, I love marketplace websites and the scale they offer. But I turn down clients who are marketplace lead generators (for 3rd parties). Its just not the same game.

Couple of nice updates within Google Search Console. The Brand v. Non-brand queries is good for a quick glance. Note: not retroactive, only looking forward. Also the AI-powered configuration experiment creates a custom regex on the fly for you.

Wow, the Jan 21 unconfirmed update was a bloodbath, and impacted sites are still dropping to this day This is another one in the marketing space; lots of AI-assisted content, self-promotional listicles, who/what/when content, etc. I think Google is getting better at detecting it

Noticed some gaps in reporting for hoteliers. Most of your reporting on bookings are not realized dollars. That's future money! Do you know how far in advance travelers are booking? Cause we do and we're planning spends accordingly.
