I may be. I've got your info; I'll follow up after I talk to my wife about it. I've got a wrap panel I need to replace. I may try to polish one panel and see how that goes. im not sure id want the full mirror. is it possible to stop closer to a satin polish and still get the benefits of cleanability and uniformity?

If you’ve got the time and patience, we can set you up with the right kit and guide you step by step. We do charge a small fee for the guidance, but it’ll save you a lot of time and frustration doing it the right way. Just know stainless is one of the hardest materials to polish, and getting it to a true mirror takes the right process and technique. If you’re serious about tackling it, we’ll help you get there 👍

Most Cybertruck owners don’t realize this… That factory stainless isn’t meant to stay that way. It holds everything, fingerprints, streaks, uneven grain. We take it and turn it into a true mirror finish that’s actually easier to maintain. No wrap. No film. No panel mismatch later. We’ve done 50+ across the country,Hawaii, Mexico City, live at SEMA Show, and every owner says the same thing after… they wish they did it sooner. If you’ve been thinking about getting your Cybertruck done, message me. We travel.#Cybertruck #Tesla #LuxuryCars #MirrorFinish

Makes sense. that's why I wrapped mine. the fingerprints were not only highly visible and easy to get; they're hard to clean...way harder than paint or wrap. Not to undermine your business but as a DIY for a retired guy who loves a project...how would you rate the difficulty? Grok says 30-120 labor hours. Your price seems fair. Just curious, I was so proud I did my own wrap. Most people don't have the ambition, patience, interest or time to tackle a project like this anyway.

The factory Cybertruck finish actually shows more fingerprints than a mirror polish. The textured surface traps oils and causes streaking when you wipe it. Once polished, that texture is gone. Fingerprints don’t stick the same way and wipe off clean with a towel. No smearing, no patchy look. Some wraps can hide fingerprints better, but they wear, stain, and need panel replacement to fix. We’ve polished 50+ Cybertrucks. Real world results beat theory every time.

@Averywalker21 @GoldFinishing @cybrgalaxy grok says it reflects heat (like that's a bad thing?) and shows fingerprints a lot. I have a wrap and it's super easy to maintain but doesn't look as cool. I wish it came polished from the factory.

@dezmondOliver DIY wrap kit. They’re under $1000 and can be done at home in your garage with $50 worth of tools in about 14 hours. A little bit of patience and some common sense is all it takes.

I’ve worked full time since I was 16. I took a single art class in college and dropped out after 2 weeks. It wasn’t for me. I wanted to work instead. I’ve always saved my money well and have only bought what was needed, or what would save us money in the long run. I have been having long talks with my wife who has always been against me buying a cybertruck, my absolute dream car since the day I saw it roll up on that stage. Because of my past, saving money, investing wisely, taking big career risks to provide for my family, doing all the shopping, cooking, yard work, finances, spending constant time with my family and kids, and showing her how much money we save, she has finally agreed to let me buy the cybertruck. I just took delivery this morning. It was a hard decision for her but she has set her pride aside and is finally realizing how much I do for the family and let me make this purchase. I love her so much for that. Welcome home Nebuchadnezzar

Oh. I thought you were talking about “Tesla Insurance”, the separate company. That’s a separate bugaboo for me. Insurance for my first MYP Tesla went up 10% over my Acura RDX A-Spec I had before. Then I switched to GEICO and saved 15% (seriously). My rates ONLY went up when I added my 16 year old son.

What do you pay for Tesla insurance? Did your rate change compared to an ICE car or another EV brand? We switched from a Cadillac XT4 and ATS Coupe to a Tesla Model Y/3 of similar value, and our rates dropped slightly. Are Tesla owners out of touch, or is this an edge case used to unfairly characterize the Tesla community?
Chad Moran@ChadMoran

Show me a more out of touch group. There's a big difference in value vs affordability. Yes it's a good value, but it's not affordable. I convinced my friend to buy a Model Y and was quoted $400/mo for insurance. Went with an IONIQ that was cheaper and $110/mo for insurance. Oh and add $100/mo for FSD... C'mon.

NEW: San Francisco police trap 85 bicyclists on an offramp who were seen taking over the road, swerving around cars, & riding the wrong direction. The bike gang tried turning around after they were blocked on the ramp by SFPD & CHP, but quickly realized they were trapped. All of the bikes were confiscated. This is amazing.

Your argument doesn’t really make any sense. It’s true oil has a lot of other purposes and I’m not trying to eliminate oil from my life per se. The discussion is about being independent from electricity companies and somehow you’re saying this guy is a clown. Doesn’t really compute to me.

@obamasucks1776 @EdKrassen You can do that, but not a single drop of oil less will be produced and refined, unless you stop using medicine, fertilizers, plastics, lubricants, and so on and so on. And once fuel cannot be sold anymore, refineries will dispose it as “byproduct” and charge you for it🤡

@Mattlinn01 @HumbledPilgrim @itskyleconner That’s simply not true. My 2025 charges much faster than my 2019. That’s the consensus experience. Not what you’re describing. Maybe you have some unique situation; but generally the new teslas charge significantly quicker than the older ones.

Pretty funny how there’s so many people saying “it doesn’t matter.” If you are someone like me that DC charges 2-3 times per week, it absolutely matters. Teslas today tend to charge a little slower than Teslas from 2018. Tesla as a company has put all of their horses into FSD and software. They essentially seemed to stop innovating with their cars which is why their specifications are essentially the same as they were for the very first Model Y. Is it a reason not to buy one? That’s up to you and how you’re going to use the car. If you are only going to use a DC charger a handful of times per year, then it’s not a big deal. There are much faster charging cars on the market now, and even more coming in the next 12 months.

@CrypticNinja85 @elonmusk Why would you not relax...the computer knows exactly the range you'll get and you don't run it to 0 miles... You have chargers at destinations and you charge while you load or unload. It's only a 30 minute charge to 80%.

@elonmusk As a trucker I do not endorse this. 500 miles and your battery is so dead you can't even relax at the end of your shift also where will you charge it. Maybe add a gas generator and this would be good since gas is cheaper than diesel.

Tesla Semi is super fun to drive
Sawyer Merritt@SawyerMerritt

WSJ: Tesla Finally Has Its First Semi-Truck and It’s Already a Hit With Truckers. "Truckers who drove it in pilot tests say they loved features including a centered driving position, faster charging and longer range for about $100,000 less than other battery-electric trucks. Angel Rodriguez, a 56-year-old truck driver for Hight Logistics in Long Beach, Calif., recently swapped out a 13-gear diesel truck for a Tesla Semi, which is automatic, for a one-month pilot test. “It’s just easier on your body. It’s less stressful because you’re not really having to engage the clutch and the stick shift.” Big F Transport employs five mechanics to service more than 40 diesel-powered rigs and a fleet of trailer chassis in Wilmington, Calif. “If we go all EV we will only need one [mechanic] to service chassis,” said Geovanny Melendez, the carrier’s VP of operations, who went to see the Semi earlier this month at a ride-and-drive event near the Port of Long Beach. Jennie Abarca, co-founder and CEO of King Fio Trucking in Long Beach, Calif., once worked as a truck dispatcher and her husband is a truck driver, so she knows all too well the toll a diesel engine takes on people’s lungs and hearing. She eventually wants to swap out King Fio’s 27 diesel trucks to create an all-electric fleet. King Fio already has 11 battery-electric trucks from Volvo and Nikola. But the company limits those trucks to shorter trips to and from local ports because they only have a range of about 225 miles. The Semi, by contrast, can travel 500 miles on a single charge, according to Tesla. For King Fio that means two or three round-trips a day from Long Beach to warehouses in the nearby Inland Empire or a single round-trip to Las Vegas. She has 20 Semis on order. “The Teslas change everything,” Abarca said. “It opens up a whole different type of delivery that I can make.”
