Is anyone working on eliminating the need for sleep in humans? There's no good that it does apart from giving me the ability to dream

No engineering grads learn drafting anymore. The act of learning how to sketch well is essential for spatial neurological development. Spinning CAD is not it. Instituting a weekly prize for the sweetest sketch at @TerraformIndies. How do you learn to sketch? Same as anything. Do it 100 times then ask someone you admire for advice.

@emm0sh and that's why teaching someone how to use CAD is so hard, and why the skill is so non-transferable (even across CAD from diff vendors)

@drybuffin exactly - when i'm flowing in CAD it's when i'm the furthest away from the verbalization part of my brain we are shape-rotators, not wordcels

synthetic training data in CAD is not a thing, u might as well scrape data off of GrabCAD and blindly train on it

we discuss this very extensively at @HanomiAI : Current 3D generative AI models are fantastic for virtual content, but hit a wall with real-world manufacturing needs. There is a significant gap between 3D gen-AI content and what is actually produced on the shop floor (1/6) 🧵

There is a lot of copy paste tasks I do (and see other people doing, where you "copy" your thoughts to a llm "provider" and then "paste" it back where you intend to). I want this middle step to be on hotkeys. No context switching every time. Just takes away the flow

Upload my assembly to an LLM and it spits out a fully realized BoM? who's working on this? (seriously) I want to compare to my hand-crafted farm-to-table premium BoM's
