A few months ago I started writing a Photoshop alternative built on a node graph. Mac and Windows, native C++, 74 nodes. Every operation is non-destructive. Paint, masks, warps, the whole toolset. Nothing bakes. Launching Tuesday Apr 28. Want to beta test this week? Reply BETA.

@1Password google seriously doesn't give you guys beta access to new chrome releases to test future features? sounds like reactive instead of proactive development... that really sucks!

Hey Dylan! We’ve been tracking a recent Chrome change that’s causing the 1Password browser extension to go blank or become unresponsive after filling on certain sites. We have seen reports of this issue affecting other password managers too, so it doesn’t appear to be limited to 1Password. We’re in direct contact with the Chrome team and they’re working on a fix. In the meantime, fully quitting and reopening Chrome should get things working again. We shared more detail, along with the current workaround, in our community post here: 1password.community/discussions/1p…

@1Password I've used 1Pass for what feels like a decade+ and I've never had this happen (blank white window for the browser extension). Can you tell your engineering team to actually check their vibe coding and QA properly? this is so stupid. I've restarted my browser twice now and it's a replicable bug. I pay for your software. Do your job.

Scrolling is pure evil. An hour of brainrot doesn’t just leave a hole where something meaningful could have been but also actively degrades the machinery you’d need to fill that hole. It corrupts your capacity for sustained attention. Books become harder, conversations feel slower, your own thoughts start to bore you. Over time, the range of things that can hold your interest narrows until you’re left with a shrinking circle of stimulation that only the algorithm can satisfy. It erodes your relationship to yourself. Curiosity fades. Compassion requires a kind of patient attention that atrophies. You stop wondering what you care about because the question itself feels effortful. What’s left is a stable, “comfortable” numbness. Not only five years subtracted from your life, but a slow hollowing out of the person who would have lived them.
Justin Skycak@justinskycak

You have to understand. Spending 1 hour per day on brainrot is insane. That's about 6% of your waking day. About 5 years of your waking life. Half a decade. On brainrot. Just gone. Zero return. Zero fulfillment. Zero meaning. Zero contribution to the other parts of your life.

yeah, such solid quality that your products break after a few years (because you outsource manufacturing to ??? in china), nobody knows how to fix them, and you don't provide any customer support to help resolve the issue -- no phone, just an email that gets ignored for weeks. people would be way better off buying kohler or toto products

@homarycom it's been 12 days since I first emailed your team. I provided you proof of the product from the very beginning (it's serial numbers and a video of the issue), and so far nothing has happened. I've had a broken product of yours for over a month now. nobody knows how to fix it, and your support team continues to ignore me. why? how can you possibly consider taking 12+ days to even begin the resolution process to be acceptable customer service?

@snowmaker The extreme frustration episodes didn't leave, they morphed. They're bullet trains now, derailed from time to time but often just going where you didn't expect them to.

I realized something else AI has changed about coding: you don't get stuck anymore. Programming used to be punctuated by episodes of extreme frustration, when a tricky bug ground things to a halt. That doesn't happen anymore.

Dr. Russell Barkley delivers a profound reframe on ADHD: It's not just "inattention"—it's a devastating disorder of executive functions that destroys time sense, self-talk, motivation, emotion regulation, and planning. Key gut-punch points: - ADHD robs you of hindsight → no foresight. You live purely in the moment, with no internal clock for time. Result? Chronic lateness, zero planning—time blindness as a core adult disability. - You can't self-talk, reason internally, or remind yourself of rules. No amount of external nagging (teachers, parents, partners) fixes the missing "mind's voice." - This cascades: poor self-motivation, emotional dysregulation (can't self-soothe), wrecked problem-solving. Barkley compares calling ADHD "inattention" to calling autism "hand-flapping"—superficial symptoms masking profound developmental deficits in self-regulation. Clip from this 2:15 powerhouse talk—ADHD explained at its deepest level. If you've got ADHD (or love someone who does), does this "executive deficit" model finally click why "just try harder" or "pay attention" falls flat? How has time blindness hit you hardest? Your experience—share below.

We aren't witnessing the fall of society. We are witnessing the quiet, intentional pacification of the human spirit and the slow sedation of the mind. Overstimulated. Numb. Addicted to the comfort of comfort. The outrage cycle. The endless scroll. Algorithmic conditioning. Exhaustion isn’t accidental. It’s strategic. The modern battlefield isn’t tanks or headlines. It’s the human nervous system and the last act of rebellion is reclaiming sovereignty over your attention.

I've been trying for weeks to download my @OpenAI account data. Their main site straight up refuses to provide it to me, and their privacy site mysteriously fails to download the archive. This happens on every computer, every time. It's almost as if OpenAI doesn't want users to leave...

never using lg.com to place an order again. LG contracts a company called LX Pantos to install their products. their "certified installer" wired my dishwasher wrong. total safety hazard--he crossed colors, sparks flew, I smelled smoke. I corrected his wiring but the wash motor still broke. I called @LGUS to fix it and they told me that all I can do is return it for a full refund. no discount or credit for the major inconvenience (and cost!) of having to get ANOTHER dishwasher installed.
