Adam Hamilton filed to run for Senate on April 30 and had a spot on Morning Joe on May 1st.
His FEC paperwork was filed at 1:30am on May 1st.
This is not organic. It's planned.
Four other candidates filed before Hamilton:
Damon Anderson (business owner, Shawnee)
Jason Hart (former federal prosecutor, Wichita)
Kevin Latz (surgeon, Johnson County)
Mike Soetaert (art gallery owner, Wellington)
Five other declared candidates before Hamilton include:
Noah Taylor
Christy Davis
Erik Murray
Sandy Spidel Neumann
Anne Parelkar
Patrick Schmidt
It looks like the Democrat Lords already made their choice.. if the party lasts until primaries.

I was up early this morning to speak with the folks on Morning Joe about our campaign for US Senate - about what we heard from Kansans around the state on our listening tour before we launched, about how my values have shaped the kind of leader I am, and why I’m running for senate: to build bridges and bring people together. You can watch the segment here, share it with your friends, and join our team at hamiltonforkansas.com! Thank you! - Adam

Remember the security firm that Ubuntu hired to audit the (ill-advised, highly buggy) Rust-rewrites of all of the GNU Coreutils?
Turns out that security firm is run by @gf_256, who:
- Appears to be a man who thinks he's a woman ("trans").
- Uses an anime cartoon of a girl as his avatar.
- Appears to have an OnlyFans page.
I repeat: Ubuntu hired a "Trans" man, with an anime girl avatar and an OnlyFans page... to audit Rust code.
It's hard to get more on-the-nose than that.

@TheIFAB Law 11
But How does the attacker return to onside position?
The attacker must get fully onside before becoming part of the play. No pressure from behind the player now in possession?
English

An attacker is in an offside position when their team-mate makes a long pass towards them. However, the ball does not reach the attacker, as it is intercepted by a defender. The defender controls the ball with their feet, moves a few metres and touches the ball several times.
After that, the attacker, who was in an offside position, runs to the ball, tackles the defender and gains possession without committing a foul.
What is the referee’s decision?

Things that have me stumped: 1969 voltage regulator.
Standard 1969 GM fare. Four-wire regulator, 37A SI alternator. Here's the issue:
- Does not charge the battery, runs at 12.5v
- If I power the field, the alternator charges at 16V+
- When you turn the key to IGN, it smokes the regulator even before the car is started
- It's the bypass wire that does the initial activation that smokes.
- All four connector wires tone out where they should without any shorts to anywhere else.
- The Field line measures 4-8 ohms to ground at the regulator
- The Field and Relay terminals are correct, and they both measure high impedance one way and low the other, which is all I know to check on an alternator.
The only logical conclusion to me is that for some reason the field line is acting as a near short, but when I measure it, I'm seeing 4-8 ohms, in spec. So I'm out of ideas!

@TheS_Resource Yes, all kids should play every position. Youth sports develop players not teams.
English

A 10-year-old who is tall, kicks it long, clears it and gets told every single week they're playing centre back, because it's convenient for the coach.
Fast forward to 15 and they've never played in midfield, never tried up front and never been given the chance to find out what else they might be capable of.
Should youth players play multiple positions throughout their development? We'd love your opinion on this one as it's genuinely splitting the coaching community, leave your vote below. 👇

My friend stopped at a roadside bathroom in Oklahoma on the way to Texas.
Duct tape on the toilet seat.
Mystery stains on the floor.
A scrub brush sitting by the sink like it had given up on life.
Be honest…
Are you using this bathroom or holding it for the next 150 miles? 🚽
No, this is not AI. She sent me this in a text message.

🚨 IRAN JUST ACTIVATED ARTICLE 111 OF ITS CONSTITUTION
For the first time in 36 years, Iran has a new face at the top.
Ayatollah Alireza Arafi. 67 years old. And most people have never heard his name.
Here’s everything you need to know about the man now running Iran:
He’s not doing it alone. Iran formed a 3-person leadership council: Arafi, President Pezeshkian, and Chief Justice Mohseni-Eje’i.
They’re splitting Khamenei’s powers between them until the Assembly of Experts picks a permanent Supreme Leader.
But Arafi is the one everyone’s watching.
This guy has been quietly stacking power for DECADES.
Born in 1959 in the small town of Meybod. His father was reportedly close with Khomeini himself, the original Supreme Leader. He was sent to Qom for religious training at age 11.
By 33, Khamenei personally made him Friday prayer leader. That doesn’t happen unless you’re trusted at the highest levels.
He simultaneously held THREE of the most powerful positions in the country:
– Director of Iran’s entire seminary system
– Member of the Guardian Council (the body that vets every law and every candidate)
– Member of the Assembly of Experts (the body that literally picks the Supreme Leader)
The man who now temporarily IS the Supreme Leader was already on the committee that CHOOSES the Supreme Leader.
He’s what makes him different.
He speaks fluent English and Arabic. He met Pope Francis at the Vatican in 2022. And he’s been openly pushing for Iran to adopt artificial intelligence to spread its message globally.
He’s being described by Reuters as a “completely trusted loyalist” of the regime. The IRGC sees him as a safe pair of hands.
Some analysts had him on the shortlist to replace Khamenei for YEARS. Now he’s effectively filling that role, at least temporarily.
The real question: does the Assembly of Experts make it permanent? Or does someone else emerge?
I will keep you updated as this story develops. Turn on notifications so you don’t miss anything.

i don’t usually do this, and i didn’t run it by (um) ryan from legal, but i saw another restaurant do this and i think it’s a bigger deal this time around tbh cause their launch kinda flopped.
i’m not coming to you as kfc right now. not even as the colonel. i’m coming to you man to man bc i can’t keep this bottled up anymore.
i once posted, “HERE, DAMN” when the wedges came back on the menu. i’m sorry for raising my voice at you but i was mad ok.
but then i kept reading. and rereading. and i realized something.
you weren’t being demanding.
you were passionate.
you were standing up for yourself and declaring your needs. (desires?)
but still, there was nothing i could do about it. feelings of helplessness devolved into rage. i tried to clear my head so i read some self-help books.
i learned that we have control over our own emotions AND the outcomes within our lives. so, i took control.
a few weeks ago, i barged into the ceo’s office and demanded that we BRING BACK THE TWISTER. yeah, that’s right. i see the comments, and i’m with you. it’s been gone for too long. she was lowkey mad but when i showed her the comments, she was persuaded.
anyways, today’s my last day. yeah i got fired but i did it for you. no regrets. you all got what you wanted. the twister is back today!!!!!
please tell me it was worth it
