#EarthDay 22 Apr 26. #INSNetajiSubhas conducted a series of activities emphasizing collective action and community-driven efforts to protect and preserve the environment. The entire day was observed as 'No Vehicle Day' and all personnel commuted by common/ public transport. The day started with a Coastal Cleanship Drive from Princep Ghat to Man-O-War Jetty, wherein Indian Navy personnel removed non-biodegradable waste from the riverbank area and its surroundings. Later in the day, a Tree Plantation Drive was conducted across the naval base, reflecting a commitment to enhancing green cover and combating climate change. A lecture by M/s Hulladek Pvt Ltd emphasized the harmful impact of single-use plastics, stressing on the need to reduce plastic consumption for a cleaner environment. Indian Navy Maritime Security Strategy-2026 released by Adm Dinesh K Tripathi #CNS, during Commanders' Conference in New Delhi. Building on Defence Forces Vision 2047 and Indian Navy Vision 2047, the document lays out the Navy's action plan for the coming decade to ensure secure seas and to safeguard India's national maritime interests in the evolving security environment. The strategy is anchored in a realistic assessment of the evolving security landscape capturing geopolitical shifts, disruptive technologies, reforms in higher defence organisation and the changing character of warfare.
