@le_sowa @FelixJohnston_ The point is that amount isn't his net amount, that's his gross amount (you can check online and any of the articles when he signed the extension). I'm guessing it's a mistranslation and he means total not net or something similar.

So, it’s hard to figure out exactly, but Chelsea would have to pay Osimhen ~£340k per week on his current wages, which according to Fabrizio there is no chance he drops from. Do you think Chelsea will stretch that far for the calibre of player, or too far out the structure?

@FelixJohnston_ Hold on something's being miscommunicated here. His current salary is roughly €250k per week, that's not "net" because no one talks about salaries in terms of net/gross, that would be weird. ~£220k is definitely a reasonable number and what we should consider signing him on.

Calculation: he wants €11m net per season, which is ~£9.5m. That is after tax, so before tax in the UK it would be around £18m, which per week is ~£346k.

Saka has been set on a pedestal & rightfully so, that it feels crazy to say Cole Palmer could start over him for England, but it's a real debate. Palmer averages a G/A every 99 mins this season & Saka 98 mins, virtually the same, but Saka plays in a team TEN places higher, with much better players & he takes corners while Palmer doesn't (Saka has taken 96, Palmer 22). Also if you watch both, Palmer's influence on the game overall is greater. Not saying Palmer has to start over Saka, but the debate has to be had. The answer of course is Saka keeps his spot & Palmer gets drip-fed in given limited experience with England's 1st team.

@TheBlueDodger 10 points of those came from 6 games under Tuchel. Take out those 6 games and Poch has better points per game ratio (albeit not by much), also lets not forget Potter started quite well and absolutely fell off around this point last year.

This adds a bit more context to Casadei getting recalled, but it’s been reported as Casadei explicitly joining the 1st team squad & not going out on loan again... If we plan on using him I’m surprised tbh, given form this szn, but if we are then he has to get minutes, at least off the bench, otherwise he might aswell be on loan. He can definitely be a source for goals & specifically with his head, which we don’t have much of, but he doesn’t offer too much else tbh, at least compared to others in the squad
