@trac3da @GarrenLephan @Boogie2x_ The shooter is not the first defender in transition, period. He should hustle back and try to disrupt the play, but Spida and/or Strus were responsible there. If Strus is expected to crash the boards, this play is solely Spida’s fault for not rotating to point quicker.

@The_StilesFiles His rotations and some of his decisions on the court were suspect, and his handling of his star players were apparently not great. BUT the front office completely failed at surrounding the key pieces with necessary role players to make it continue to work.

It all started with bizarre negotiations between the Kings and Mike Brown after they missed the playoffs in ‘24. Felt like they were so shell-shocked from being the 3 seed in ‘23 to losing the play-in, Mike was blamed. Ignoring the players regressing and injuries. In ‘25, they were looking for an excuse.

@bballbreakdown @Boogie2x_ well Max should not have crashed the boards with 2 players already in the paint and a guard putting up a shot. He should have rotated to point immediately as the shot went up to cover the fastbreak. Spida did so as well, but didnt have the angle to beat Bridges.

@MagnusSav 1. IF Acuff is a real deal future star and the other options at 7 are NOT, then yes we should spend a 1st to move up if necessary. 2. IF Mikel, Wagler, or Kingston are there at 7 and they have equal star evaluation, then no Kings shouldnt move up.

It’s getting to a point where the Kings for some odd reason have put themselves in a position where they have to draft Darius Acuff Jr. I don’t know what the point of this was besides assuming you do draft him, selling to your fans he was their #1 regardless of draft position.

I’m not even a Ja fan, but at this price, I think you have to do it. Low risk for possible high reward. You can just play him next to your draft pick next year, and if it doesn’t work after 1 year, he’s expiring and comes off the books the same year as Sabonis.
