@TheEcho13 It's like bringing up ghosts or religions on a first date. If that's your most important thing to talk about get it out of the way so everyone knows they are dating crazy

My friend. You very literally just proved the point. If you aren’t able to have a conversation about something outside of your interests, and if you’re not willing to entertain her interests and opinions as talking points instead of debate topics, you’re a bad date. You’re telling her right out the gate that you’re no fun.

This is a bad take. Astrology ought to be a non starter, unless you are being facetious about it. Taking astrology seriously suggests that you are epistemically broken. Possibly scientifically illiterate.

@LamarMK Won't touch another one. While FSD is great, the CEO can't be trusted with actually delivering on what was promised. I really hope some.other EV actually comes close to have a comparable ADAS in the next 5 years. If you don't care for FSD, there's really no reason to buy Tesla n

Current Tesla owners, how pleased are you with your Tesla and would you purchase another one? If you're thinking about making the switch, hear it from real owners instead of people who have never driven one.

@Andrew_Moser @bronzeageshawty The alternative is buying real estate or an annuity. A house purchased in the 1970s for 24k is now worth 1 million dollars. That would never happen with a 401k.

Name a restaurant that you can get a $20 steak and $100 steak at? It literally doesn't exist. If you're in a restaurant that has $100 steaks and you can't afford a 20% tip then you shouldn't be there. Most people that do spend that much on a steak know how to tip. Usually the difference in tab means 1 table is four or five people and another table is one person. It goes by the check. Who do you know that's going to sit alone by themselves eating $100 steak? Your post is silly because it's not based upon reality.

Percentages make no sense for tipping. I go to a restaurant and order a $20 steak. Guy at the table next to me orders a $100 steak. If I tip $5 I’m considered a great tipper, but he’s expected to tip at least $20. Why? The server literally did the same amount of work!

@SYACVG I just feel like devs making games like this should just code in some steam workshop pathways and you're good. Really old games with a living modding community are still getting more sales as people can keep producing content even if it's not at the level of the dev.

"Calling out entitled gamers" is a very inflammatory way to frame this. They responded to a now deleted-tweet where they were called lazy for the lack of updates. You can see their response here, which seems pretty professional to me.

@SaffronOlive Get rid of mana, it's a stupid concept with universes beyond. Give us a mojo mode where you just get enough mojo every turn to play at least one card. But you lose life equal to your mojo

Every TCG is going to have non-games. Non-games are the result of variance which is something TCG's need. Some people feel like Magic's non-games are worse because the variance comes from the mana system, so a MTG non-game is "you don't play you cards." In reality this is no more of a non-game than some Hearthstone card doing something random to kill you out of nowhere, but Magic takes more heat for it because it feels worse. It's basically the same concept as how in Commander you can Doom Blade your opponent's commander and it's fine, but if you counter it they get salty. The result is the same, but the Doom Blade gives you the illusion that you were actually making progress and doing something. It tricks you into thinking your decisions mattered, but really they didn't. Non-games in other TCG's do a better job of giving you this illusion, to tricking you into thinking that they aren't really non-games because you are taking game actions and doing things. But really they are the same as getting mana screwed.

99.9% of people who "experienced" the Challenger disaster saw it on replay and now remember it as live. Almost NO ONE was watching. Everyone thinks they were. It's a fascinating collective false memory.
Jeremy London@SirJeremyLondon

Anyone who experienced the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion, like I did, is probably a bit hesitant to get too excited about the Artemis II launch today. I truly hope our children don’t have to experience such tragedy. May the Universe welcome them and return them safely home 🙏

But why is it on your house? Why not tax your washing machine. Or your carpet? Or the black velvet paintings handing on your walls? It's completely arbitrary, and seems unfair, particularly because we are ALREADY HEAVILY TAXED for those damn public services.
Rushi@rushicrypto

I’m very confused about the number of people who think “property tax” is a sales tax on you home rather than taxes to pay for public services you use every day. “I paid off my home why do i still pay property taxes?!?!?” Oh, did you also stop using the roads and libraries and sidewalks and parks? Not worried about fires anymore?

I’m not a “work from home” guy by any means. But I’ve done it a bit lately and it’s certainly nice to see my family during the day. I can see why it’s so popular. But, and it’s a big but, my productivity is unquestionably lower. There’s just no substitute for the office.

@KingScarletYGO It's fun if you treat it like a board game and not try to min max your deck. Whether it's fun comes down to your friends, are they stretching the intentions. Of the bracket system even if their deck is technically a lower bracket?

Magic players: is Commander actually as bad as people say it is online, or is this your Genesys format where people who don’t even play it pretend it’s the worst thing imaginable? Like, do the bracket systems not help play the style you prefer? I wanna play

It annoys me watching this. My Mum can't drive anymore and my Dad has never been able to. Subsequently both have lost their freedom. Both could regain it today, but due to our slow to react, risk averse backwards country they will likely die waiting for this.
Sawyer Merritt@SawyerMerritt

This 93 year old has found new freedom after she bought a new @Tesla Model Y with FSD. She also uses Grok navigation. "Although she has always been a good driver, my mom can now drive without the fear or fatigue that can naturally come with age. No more relying on others for every trip. No more feeling stuck. This is true mobility that can spark new adventures in a still adventurous women!" (via Dan Doyle's Family Channel. Full video below)
