I HIGHLY recommend watching this episode. David Cross is that “nice guy” who doesn’t mean any ill intentions. He is just someone who doesn’t know what he doesn’t know. This interview (especially the part mentioned below) is the perfect encapsulation of living in a bubble. You can tell that he hasn’t heard an alternative view in at least the last 20 years. It is an example of what will be the norm during to algorithms. They have no interest in the truth. They only have interest in keeping you glued to your phone. And the easiest way to do that is to feed you what you want. This goes both ways. As I’ve said before, this is a major danger.

@Mangan150 @davidsirota @SuperbubbleCo Right next to the signal to eat real food, of which the cost is rising dramatically relative to the cost of a 90-inch TV. But at least we can further retard our ability to notice anything of consequence, right? Two strikes of irony to you today.

If you need proof that you’re living inside the most powerful propaganda system in human history, consider the fact that almost nobody can afford anything & yet this is somehow not — by far — the top issue covered by the press, discussed in politics or trending on social media.

@Mangan150 @davidsirota @SuperbubbleCo Price has been disconnected from reality (real cost) for so long that one can mistake abundance of consumer tech for affordability of (meaningful) essentials. The system downplays this, which you're ironically illustrating.

@davidsirota @SuperbubbleCo This is ridiculous. We live in an age of such great abundance…. where the floor was raised so high that people take their car, flatscreen TV, king size bed, extensive wardrobe and smartphone for granted… not to mention home appliances, A/C, hot water, and indoor plumbing.

@Casebradford @NoahRyanCo This is true. It’s also true that a man of integrity living in a healthy society does not do what he is doing (and does not feel the need to). Obviously we live in a very unhealthy society. I think people can sense the dissonance but cant quite figure out where it’s coming from.

Why is everybody mad at this? People will always want on the go nutrition. Most protein bars (like Epstein’s favorite, David bar) are indigestible goyslop. This bar meets a need and surpasses current market alternatives. I’m missing the gimmick here
Paul Saladino, MD@paulsaladinomd

We did it. @dranthonygustin and I just built the protein bar the industry didn’t want you to have: one actually made for HUMANS. @eatlineage Protein Bar – 100% real food, no garbage. Why most bars suck (and aren’t for humans): - Fake fats like EPG (esterified propoxylated glycerol) → causes “oily spotting” / anal leakage / discharge (yes, really) - Artificial sweeteners, preservatives, mystery isolates - Even “clean” ones load up on ultra-processed fiber syrups (tapioca, inulin, chicory root) that ferment in your gut, cause bloating, gas, inflammation. We said enough. We wanted a bar you could literally make at home with real pantry staples – but better: high protein, tastes amazing, verified insanely clean. Introducing the Lineage Protein Bar: 🐮 20g protein from grass-fed whey + collagen 🐄 Grass-fed beef tallow (real fat, not fake) 🍯 Raw organic honey 🥥 Organic coconut nectar 🫐 Organic freeze-dried berries & fruit 🧂 Salt THAT’S LITERALLY IT. No gums, no isolates, no seed oils, no fake anything. We didn’t half-ass this: - Every single ingredient + every batch tested for 400+ contaminants (microplastics, pesticides/herbicides, mycotoxins, heavy metals) - 2 full years of R&D to nail the taste, texture, and mouthfeel (it’s legitimately incredible – not “good for healthy,” actually craveable) Mixed Berry and Chocolate are live now. More flavors in pipeline – comment your requests below! 👇 Grab yours: lineageprovisions.com/bar 💪

If we don’t think in purely idealized economic abstractions, then yes. Once collectors become a primary market, “toys” get engineered and optimized for things that no longer render them actual toys. And SKU variation is not a meaningful class of variety. You’re pointing to quantitative goods but that is alway in tension with qualitative integrity.

@SandyofCthulhu Don't collectors add to the demand for toys, helping to pay for fixed costs, and thus either lowering prices or increasing variety?

@AJA_Cortes Surprising take from you. This is as bad as it will ever be again… It’s equivalent to a person seeing a tree and envisioning a log cabin, yet everyone around him calls him crazy since you can’t live inside a tree trunk. There’s tons of potential here.
