I've flown a lot in the last week - BOS, MCO, MIA, DCA, CLT - no issues or waits at all. The new "TSA Touchless Precheck" is the bomb. No lines because either people don't know how to sign up for it or they're paranoid about the guvmint having their biometrics. I'm a veteran and have a passport, so the guvmint has all of my data and DNA anyway...

@ZachWKelly where are you on @projecthailmary? I saw it last week in 70mm at Hoffman Center. Film looked good enough but the audio cut out every 5 minutes. I listened to the highly acclaimed audiobook a year or so ago. Compared to that, the movie is fine.

The airband search speed on this is sick! I’m guessing it’s at 25 kHz steps and I’m also guessing 8.33 kHz steps wouldn’t slow it down much. I’m ordering one right meow, I’ll report back.

Once again today, certain accounts were posting positions and audio of bombers on what appeared to be an active strike mission.
This is not the first time, and probably won't be the last. While not illegal it is incredibly stupid, could potentially be used by Iranians or any other hostile actors and has already resulted in certain OSINT resources being blocked or made private and are no longer available.

As others have said, and I’ll continue to parrot… LIVE tweeting/reporting on active strike missions, especially aircraft coming from CONUS pre-oceanic, is inherently irresponsible. Using any excuse to justify this, then posting it on X or any other platform only shows you care about likes, clicks, and any other engagement. I always say, if they didn’t want to be seen, they wouldn’t broadcast positions. In this case, it is very clear to any experienced tracker that deception/concealing tactics are actively being used and the intent to not be found, is clearly present. So, DO BETTER. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
