On Sunday night, the Trump administration tweeted about a “friendless loser” for peddling “bullsh*t clickbait.” The tweet was directed at weather forecasters at The Weather Channel, since the administration did not like the forecast.

Zohran is the goat, go vote NY! Finally a person running for office that prioritizes the needs of the working class over billionaires. He has my endorsement! Haters only hate out of ignorance of the moment this country is in. The working class is suffocating in financial anxiety

Long time followers here know that I don’t do politics, and there’s no political content on this account. I vote; and that’s it. The world does not need another social media nitwit telling people how to think and vote. This post is not about politics, but about support for my friends that work for the National Weather Service, part of NOAA, a federal agency. NWS meteorologists work long, hard hours serving the people of this country, not only during times of severe weather, but on the routine days as well. Their surface and upper air observation networks along with computer models, radars, and satellites are critical for all meteorologists, including those of us in the private sector. Most NWS field offices are currently understaffed right now. I can only imagine morale is not especially high. Many high-level politicians follow this page, both Democrats and Republicans. I would encourage them and all of you to support my colleagues at the National Weather Service during this time. Their service is absolutely invaluable. If NWS products and services are reduced, we all suffer…especially during times of life-threatening weather.

The National Weather Service is the backbone of all weather forecasting in America. Their meteorologists work tirelessly with fewer resources than they need, yet provide the data and warnings that save countless lives. When disasters strike, we ALL rely on the NWS.

Breaking: 1,000,000 more $ taken away from the NOAA (OAR). The OAR helps verify high altitude and marine data collected and then fed into the models. Although this is likely a small portion of data that gets fed into models, model accuracy is a data collection problem meaning

Speechless. We are at the entrance to our Tampa Bay Times office in downtown St. Petersburg. A crane is blocking the road, and several stories up, smoke billows out of the building from where it appears the crane fell Smell of gas in the air and you can hear alarms #MILTON
