The bullish argument is that everything looks bearish. That's an effective strategy on the way up and has worked a lot but at some point if things do get bearish they might just be bearish. This is what makes countertrading sentiment difficult at certain times.

The reason I said back in August that it was not ALT season was because I expected ETH to get rejected on its 1st attempt at all time highs.
ALT/BTC pairs went lower while ETH/BTC should put in a higher low.
What happens next for ALTs depends on ETH's ability to break $5k

@SatoshiFlipper I agree, but the day will come in the future where M2 continues to grow but the market crashes. To only take M2 as the reason is not intelligent.

Don't kid yourselves, $BTC is going MUCH HIGHER, just look at where M2 Global Liquidity is right now, then study the correlation, then tell your "cycle top is in" friends to get new hobbies, crypto isn't for them 👊👊

In the wake of the large sell down in stocks on Friday, on the fears of a 100% China tariff and an escalating trade war, BTC held up okay.
Internally BTC was building a bullish structure with increasing inflows which likely shielded it.
So far the flows are holding up OK.

So far, with only 1.5 days since the stonks selloff, BTC demand is holding up. The macro structure (bullish with cracks forming) remains intact. It'll be important to watch if this deteriorates in coming days.
Stocks sold off heavy, typically it takes many weeks to regroup.

🚨 Neue Meldungen zum Handelskrieg zwischen USA & China: Vor allem der erste Punkt wird aktuell verbreitet, aber es steckt mehr hinter 👇🏽 Das chinesische Außenministerium hat eine offizielle Stellungnahme zu den jüngsten Exportkontrollen für Seltene Erden und der eskalierenden Handelsspannung mit den USA veröffentlicht: - Die Exportkontrollen seien eine „legitime Maßnahme“, um Chinas Interessen angesichts geopolitischer Instabilität zu schützen. - Es handle sich nicht um ein Exportverbot; die Auswirkungen auf globale zivile Lieferketten sollen begrenzt bleiben. - Exportlizenzen würden weiterhin für zivile Zwecke genehmigt, jedoch für militärische Nutzung eingeschränkt. - China wirft den USA vor, die Handelsgespräche in Madrid untergraben zu haben, indem nach deren Abschluss zusätzliche Maßnahmen gegen China verhängt wurden. - Die angekündigten 100%-Zölle der USA als Reaktion auf die Exportkontrollen bezeichnete Peking als „Doppelmoral“. - „Drohungen mit hohen Zöllen bei jeder Gelegenheit sind kein Weg, mit China zu verhandeln“, hieß es weiter. - Als Reaktion auf US-Maßnahmen erhebt China nun ebenfalls Hafengebühren auf US-Schiffe. - China betonte, man wolle keinen Handelskrieg, sei jedoch bereit, sich zu verteidigen. - Die USA wurden aufgefordert, „ihre fehlerhaften Handlungen zu korrigieren, den Dialog zu suchen und aggressive Handelsbeschränkungen zu beenden“.
