Just built-in tip. Now the debate starts. Some say — restaurants are struggling, servers deserve guaranteed pay, and this avoids stiffing. Others say — a tip is supposed to be optional. Once it’s mandatory, isn’t it just a fee? And shouldn’t customers clearly agree to it before ordering, not after the bill arrives? So what do you think: Should customers always have the chance to choose the tip amount… or is automatic gratuity fair in today’s restaurant world?
