I remember when my dad was a Building janitor at an elementary school in South Carolina and one of his White coworkers had a son who stole my Zoid toy from me, my dad found out, got the toy and told his mom. It was the end of the story and we moved on, I can’t imagine if my dad walked up to that child as a grown ass man and said “Give my son back his Zoid cracker.” I know that moment would have either made me racist or hateful, he chose to be an adult. If he chose to say that, he would have never been employed in a school again. That is an unemployable approach for a reason.
