🚨 Virginia Tech’s 24 Hours of Silence After Campus Speaker Urged Students to “Blow Up Ports” and Engage in “Palestine Action” This event was held on Virginia Tech’s campus yesterday, with Professor Mohamed Abdou appearing virtually. In this clip, Abdou praised students as “a branch of the resistance,” said they had been recognized as “a branch of the mujahideen,” and then shamed them for claiming to care while refusing to escalate into sabotage and militant action. “You won’t blow up ports.” “You won’t engage in Palestine Actions.” “You won’t halt the weapons industry.” “You won’t destroy locally where you are at.” He framed Virginia Tech as part of a broader battlefield, declared that “the battlefront is everywhere,” and called for “every single choke point” and “every single supply chain bottleneck” to be disrupted “by all means necessary.” Then he invoked the Weather Underground, the Black Panthers, and the Zapatistas before explaining “Death to America” and saying America should “burn with the most volatile kerosene,” “combust,” and be “erased” in “the most fiery of flames.” This was a speaker on campus telling students to get kinetic as part of “the resistance” at a university that knows better than almost anyone what campus violence can mean. And Virginia Tech has said nothing.

A question for those who think the Wizards will trade Anthony Davis this offseason: Why would the Wizards trade 5 picks and 4 players for AD just to move him again months later after he doesn’t play a game for them and when he doesn’t have much trade value? Doesn’t make sense.
