You don’t always see the tears & exhaustion & vulnerability. The glass of wine that laughs back at you. The quietness that fades into the hum of the BiPap while he sleeps in the other room. Sometimes the tears just feel cleansing, therapeutic, & healing #fuckALS #caregiving

3 months, Dad. This is a favorite photo. Your backwards hat, grappa eyes & arm around me. I miss so much about you, but this most. The goofy times & way you smiled so big. I try to smile every day but sometimes I cry more than I’d like. Miss you so much & love seeing you happy.

Donating Dad’s equipment felt bittersweet & final. We developed hate for the metal cords tubes & wheels that came with ALS. Seeing how much was stolen from Dad’s body was heavy. Grateful he’s no longer fighting but hate there are people needing this in their unfair fight of #ALS

I am heartbroken to announce @ScottFightsALS passed early this morning. He fought until the very end and ultimately won the battle against ALS. We have lost one of the most incredible people to walk this earth and I’m shattered. Till death do us part was not nearly long enough.
