Sharing our computer vision system design for TRON: Ares. We approached these shots from the perspective of the machine. The frame becomes a field of observation. Every pixel is potential information waiting to be interpreted. The process begins by squarepacking the live action plates, dividing the image into a computational lattice. Once the grid exists, the system begins to read. Targets emerge. Motion vectors form. Signals ripple through layers of analysis. Inside these overlays lives the source code of the system itself. Streams of logic, fragments of instruction, the internal language of the machine. At times the imagery dissolves directly into that code, as if the world itself is being rewritten from within. Visual information collapses into structure, then reconstructs again as data. Scanning pulses move across the frame. Timers react. Coordinates lock. Each layer is part of a larger ecosystem of perception, constantly processing, evaluating, and iterating. The goal was maximum detail and living systems. Interfaces that breathe, think, and evolve in real time.

Opening today @ArtBasel Rafael Lozano-Hemmer Zero 10 - Booth Z05 Black Hole is a brand new work premiering at Art Basel. At the center of the spiral is a panoptic surveillance camera, a “black hole” that tracks and capture the gaze of the viewers, registering their presence as a biometric input that activates and transforms the work. The piece draws attention to the seductions of visibility—recognition, inclusion, and self-imaging —while simultaneously exposing the camera as a device of predatory vision. In this way, the installation reflects on contemporary cultures of metrics and surveillance, where seeing oneself is inseparable from being measured.

I fundamentally believe that the future for artists working in digital mediums and online ecosystems is a future that is built on blockchain. I am wholly committed to planting a flag, defending our ground, and making projects so undeniably interesting that the power of this technology is self-justifying. We have an incredibly strong, interconnected community here. I know I'm preaching to the choir. What we all need to do- and what I'm going to do with WINDOWS, is to break into the zeitgeist outside our walls and SHOW, not tell- how enabling this technology is for funding creative concepts- and creative careers. I've been sharing this work on IG and the reception has been astounding to me, it's the largest audience my work has ever reached. I'm doing a print sale there in a few weeks- so I'm holding back a portion of the windows grids mints- buildings- to use as an onboarding tool to the people who purchase physical prints. People who mint the tokens on Tuesday will also have a chance to print their outputs, at cost, once we have our system dialed in. People on IG and Threads are so excited about this project, but there is an education gap that has been further widened by toxic headlines, misunderstandings, and the unwillingness to change one's mind about the way the world works. I plan to change a lot of minds in the next few weeks and I invite you all to do that with me. My call to action here is this: let's all be more vocal about art and blockchain on other platforms too. Let's all be advocates of ideas that help artists renegotiate their relationship with the internet. I believe that breaking this barrier is essential to the long term success of our space, and consider this my war cry to redouble our efforts across every landscape. The internet has largely been absorbed by feudal landlords who tell us we are lucky to have space on their land. For the million-plus eyes I got on WINDOWS // NYC on IG, their valuation of that impact was 49 dollars. Let's show the world how creative concepts, previously impossible, can be funded by a collective of passionate minds with sovereign onchain identities- and that art has value and deserves the economic upside of the value it generates in the networks it beautifies. Let's build on land we own. I get to make these ideas because so many of you support them. With attention, with ETH, with validation and kind words. All of that matters and makes this a very real living for me. I want as many artists as is possible to experience the feeling of working so hard on something and it being a practical way to spend time. If you will join me, drop some links to your IG here and I would love to check out your pages. If you read this far and are interested in minting a building, indicate that and I will reach out to a few people for wallets for the AL. Thank you all for the support so far and I can't wait to build this city with you. With passion- @ dave.krugman on IG 🫡🪟

WINDOWS // NYC For the past five years, I've immersed myself in a photographic, typological study of the illuminated windows of New York City at night. On June 16th, we invite you to build a new world with us, a multilayered, interconnected city of light and shadow, powered by @TransientLabs Studio. This has been my biggest undertaking to date, and is the extension of my lifelong interest in photographic patterns and generative photography. This interest was crystalized in 2021 with my project DRIVE and continued in 2022 with Drip Drop. Over the years, I've learned so much about the conceptual world of typologies, about the intersection of photographic technologies and blockchain as immutable records of consensus and truth, and of course, about how the constant evolution of technology broadens the scope of what is possible for us artists- revealing new ways to create and connect with the people who seek to do the same. The process of creating WINDOWS // NYC has been the best sort of challenge, and as always, the incredible minds at @TransientLabs have taken my ideas and built technological frameworks that have elevated this project beyond my wildest dreams. I cannot wait to show you more, but for now, drop a comment if you want to connect, hear what we've built, and for information on how to participate and get involved. I love this world. I love looking at it in intricate detail and making photographs so that others can look at it that way too. And this pattern of windows and grids is one of my favorite ways to see. It's such an exciting time to be an artist on the internet. We now have the technology to build out our worlds, in spaces we own, it is truly the age of ideas. I've built a new home for my projects here, and in advance of my next major release with @TransientLabs on June 16th, I want to share what I've made with you all, and open a dialogue about how we can use these tools as artists to enhance the experience of making and sharing our art. This is an overview of davekrugman dot com (link in thread), specifically about new sites for Drip Drop and DRIVE, and to that end, I'll give a work from each project to someone who reshares this post. If you are an artist who is curious on how to build a site for yourself, I would be happy to help, I'm an open book, ask me in the comments below. There are so many tools to use- I mostly used @claudeai / @AnthropicAI- and now we can literally speak our ideas into reality , the possibilities feel truly infinite, if you have curiosity, patience, and a bit of time to explore a new frontier. For too long, artists have had to build on the rented space of social platforms, and now it feels like we can really create sovereign spaces that we own and make ours with our unique vision. Feel free to skim and skip around the video, and I'd be stoked if you visited the site and saw it for yourself. Thanks for lookin!

Happy to announce the sale of “Quiet Balance” by @ThankYouX to a major collection that includes works by Pablo Picasso, Damien Hirst, Maurizio Cattelan, and other globally recognized artists. What defines ThankYouX’s practice is its ability to operate across systems: painting and code, stillness and motion, physical and digital space. It speaks to both traditional and digitally native audiences, bridging them without compromise. In many ways, it embodies exactly what @ArtBasel Hong Kong’s Zero 10 section is pushing forward: breaking down boundaries and bringing together two worlds that are no longer parallel, but increasingly one.

Proud to celebrate our first anniversary. Our goal was to build a studio that helps people reconnect with art, which is why we integrated a coffee shop to bridge the digital and physical worlds. Last month, we welcomed thousands of visitors to the space!
