Regarding the guevedoces, you claimed, “They are girls.” Yet the article clearly describes them as “males” who “are born looking like girls.” Looking like a girl and being a girl are not the same thing. You then claimed that guevedoces have “ovaries” that “descend as testicles” during puberty. The BBC article says no such thing. It explains that their testes were present but not visible until they descended during puberty. Had you simply acknowledged that you got the biology wrong, it would have been unfortunate, especially given the size of Rogan’s audience, but ultimately forgivable. Instead, you are doubling down on demonstrably false claims and pretending that a BBC article supports them when it plainly does not. You’re receiving so much criticism because people reasonably expect high standards from those presenting themselves as scientists committed to the truth. It’s time to just admit you got your facts mixed up. @RobSchneider
