What’s the benefit in studying Hindi or any 3rd language. It increases the burden on the students. Elite students study coding and other computer languages. And our CM #MKStalin has ensured that students in Tamilnadu also learn coding and other computer languages instead of a non-beneficial 3rd language. DMK govt is issuing laptops to students enabled with AI. Stop your regressive politics!

VIDEO | BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan (@crkesavan) on Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin’s two-language policy says, “It is victimising marginalised students by denying them the opportunity to learn another language; he only wants elite students to benefit.” (Full video available on PTI Videos - ptivideos.com)

my coworker was pregnant. still showed up every day nauseous, exhausted, trying to prove she was “committed.” never missed a deadline. never complained. even picked up extra work so no one could say she was slacking. then one afternoon HR scheduled a “role evaluation.” twenty minutes later she walked out pale, holding a folder with her termination papers. they said the company was “moving in a different direction” and needed someone “with more flexibility.” no warnings. no performance issues. just that. what they didn’t say is that a week earlier she’d asked about maternity leave policies and whether her position would be secure while she was gone. suddenly her role was “redundant.” two months later they hired someone new for her exact job. she lost her income right before giving birth. lost her insurance. lost her sense of safety. they kept their “family-oriented workplace” slogan on the website. funny how “different direction” always seems to point straight at the door.

Dear @Akshita_N Because you learned hindi, many doors of opportunity opened for you. You describe moving from chennai to delhi as a big achievement...I'm happy about that & im not belittling it. If learning hindi itself opened doors for you to opportunities like india today & delhi, then if you had learned arabic, wouldnt the doors to one of the worlds largest news media organizations, Al jazeera, & to qatar have opened as well? Why didnt you learn it? The reason is simple... akshita didn't feel the need to learn it, so she didnt. When that need arises, others too will learn hindi or other languages. There is no need to adopt it as a language policy. Moreover, i sincerely believe that the doors of opportunity for akshita will open not because she studied hindi, but because of her talent.

In my society, there is a couple who have 2 children, a son and a daughter. The son is mentally challenged. Even at the age of 29, he still plays with toys. The daughter is married and lives with her husband. The couple owns a lot of property. They have 2 bungalows, 1 flat, 1 farmhouse, luxury cars, and huge wealth. But they have no one to manage all of this. So they decided to get their son married and bring a bride home who could handle everything. They found a girl from a poor family, and she agreed to marry their mentally challenged son. They got married, and everything was going fine. Now the parents expect a baby from their daughter-in-law so that their wealth can be passed to the next generation.

I simply cannot tolerate the ‘cultural’ practice where one member of the family (usually mother/wife/daughter-in-law) makes rotis/pooris/paranthas/dosas in the kitchen and serves them ‘hot’ while the rest of the family eats.

@zip99900 Btw, sex selective abortion is not native to any culture It was an anglo-west funded genocide attempt in India & China, in the 70s & 80s Governments were forced to comply & papers were presented in international conferences on the "good" work Am sure it was the same in Korea

The reason why young men in Korea are obsessed with collective narcissism: The Precious Son Syndrome This isn’t a super scientific study or anything, so don’t take it as 100% fact—just think of it as one person’s take. Today, young men in South Korea believe that older generations of men and young women are suppressing them, and as a result, they feel that despite their high value, they are unable to demonstrate their abilities. I believe that some mothers’ thoughts have influenced the psychology of young men. During the time when today’s men in their 20s and 30s were born, sex-selective abortion was actively practiced in South Korea. Many women were subjected to humiliation or neglect within their families if they failed to bear a son. Some women, after giving birth to three daughters, became so despondent over not having a son that they killed all their daughters and then committed suicide. This was because, in the past, there was a widespread belief that it was entirely the woman’s fault if she did not bear a son. Consequently, some women repeatedly gave birth to try to have a son or aborted daughters. This was a social problem in past Korea, and Korea legally prohibited doctors from revealing the fetus’s sex to prevent this. This law was repealed in 2024. (The current higher population of men compared to women in their 20s and 30s is also influenced by sex-selective abortion.) The Korean mothers who obtained their “precious sons” began to treat their sons like “princes.” In traditional Korea, only women who gave birth to sons were treated with dignity and respect, so the sons who elevated their mothers’ status were considered lovable and valuable beings. And sons, raised under such treatment from their mothers, grow up believing their own value is high. When these sons face societal barriers, they seek the cause externally. They blame all groups except themselves and easily fall into self-pity.
