@growradio @charlierybak They do power control by shifting frequency (with lower frequencies (still > 22kHz) being closer to the resonant frequency of the system). Seems like instead of going > 50-60khz to drop power further, induction drives pulse every second or so.

They’re probably already there but I feel like people are sleeping on the fact that induction stoves are going to be WAY better than gas in a few years. At some point soon having a gas stove is going to be an impediment to selling a house.

@shellmayr I do this, but instead of the dev happening in the cloud, it's happening on my mac mini. I'm interacting with it via OpenCode web and Zed over SSH on my tailscale network.

i don't quite understand why we are still running local claudes/codexes? the majority of the work is not happening on my computer anyways, why haven't there been new flows of making software that are primarily in the browser / online?

IKEA's new smart bulbs are Matter now and they are a massive downgrade from the older Zigbee bulbs. Both from UX, latency and capabilities the old ones were just better. Pairing sucks (need the QR code), color changes no longer blend, everything is laggy.
